Clarksville’s Caprigios Pizza fined $10,500 for violating child labor laws

One of Clarksville’s most popular pizza places has been given 15 days to pay a $10,500 fine for violating the state’s child labor laws. Chef Ilona, of Caprigios Pizza, says she takes full responsibility and admits some of her 15 & 16-year-old employees worked past 7 p.m. on school nights and more than the allotted hours per day.

Rick Grundy charged in brutal felony assault of girlfriend in Clarksville

34-year-old Ricky Grundy is charged with aggravated assault after his girlfriend, Johanna Guadalupe, says an argument between the couple became physical when he grabbed her by the neck, lifting her up, and forcing her to the floor of the living room while keeping his hands around her neck to restrict her breathing. She says he slammed her into multiple pieces of furniture before eventually letting her go, at which time she called 911 and he fled the residence.

Sam’s Discount Tobacco Robbery case to be tried after nearly a 7-year wait — Marquis Moultrie in custody

After nearly a 7-year wait, 28-year-old Marquis Moultrie is in the Montgomery County Jail, charged with the 2015 aggravated robbery of Sam’s Discount Tobacco. Police say he forced his way inside while carrying a pistol, injuring the store owner. He threw the register to the ground when he couldn’t get the cables free to flee with it. After fleeing to South Carolina in 2015, he faced new charges and a prison sentence there for pointing and presenting a firearm, petit larceny, assault and battery 1st degree, burglary 1st degree, burglary 2nd degree, grand larceny, probation violation, failure to stop for blue lights and fleeing to evade arrest. He was eventually arrested in South Carolina in September of 2018 on all of those warrants.

Soldier found drunkenly wandering neighborhood just before daylight — William Cooper

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier William Cooper was found extremely intoxicated with soiled clothing at 4:45 a.m. Saturday, wandering through a neighborhood on Sandpiper Drive. And officer notes he had a “pungent smell” about him and neighbors reported he had attempted to enter random vehicles and multiple addresses, not knowing where he was at.

Kicked out of Electric Cowboy, Soldier Corbin Bailey resists arrest, refuses to get ride home

24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Corbin Chenoweth Bailey was so intoxicated at the Electric Cowboy he was asked to leave by security. Despite attempting to get him to call a friend or rideshare, he insisted on getting in his car. Police arrived to attempt to get him to find an alternate way home, and noticed he had already vomited beside his car, and refused to exit the vehicle. After an extended period of time, he exited and they attempted to get him to find an alternate way to get home. He still refused, and when they told him they’d have to take him into custody for public intoxication, he backed up against a wall to prevent officers from cuffing him.

Mariah Irvine charged with DUI after traffic stop for expired tags at 4 a.m.

22-year-old Mariah Irvine was stopped on Fort Campbell Blvd just before 4 a.m. due to a tag that expired in November of 2021. As Officer Marcus Lax spoke with her, he says he could smell alcohol coming from the car, and suspected she was driving under the influence. She performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a 0.142% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Clarksville Police say 26-year-old Adryan Collins wrecked his white Scion into a ditch just moments after a citizen had reported his reckless driving to police. He admitted he had been drinking prior to driving and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. He was booked into jail, charged with DUI.

Soldier Jarvis Danielly charged in 2 DUI crashes in 9 days in Clarksville

21-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Javis Danielly was jailed on two separate DUI charges in the span of 9 days. On February 19th, police responded to Hookah21 at 2 a.m. where he crashed his car after drinking 1 beer and 1 shot of liquor. He was jailed and released on a $2,500 bond. On February 27, Danielly consumed 3 shots of Hennessy before crashing into another vehicle on Fort Campbell Blvd at 4:20 p.m. on a Sunday and was freed on a new $5,000 bond.

36-year-old Franklin Deshaun Carroll was jailed after the grandmother of his child, Cheryl Huntley, reported he was trying to take the child without permission. She says he was inches away from her face while yelling and jabbed his finger into her chest. She was in fear she was going to be further assaulted.

Joshua Harris, 21, identified as man killed in fatal motorcycle crash on Fort Campbell Blvd

21-year-old Joshua Harris, of Chapmansboro, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed in the t-bone crash at 1444 Fort Campbell Blvd on March 2nd. Police say the motorcyclist was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at the time of the collision when he crashed into another vehicle.

Christopher Clark charged in murder of William Eakes, Jr., in Walmart shooting — Fort Campbell Blvd

On March 1st, at approximately 11:54 pm, the Clarksville Police Department responded to a shooting in progress call at Walmart, 1680 Ft. Campbell Blvd. At 12:11 am, officers located the suspect, 42-year-old Christopher Clark (white male), coming out of the woods behind Planet Fitness, 1600 Ft. Campbell Blvd.  Clark was taken into custody without incident. The victim has been identified as 55-year-old William Eakes Jr. (white male). At this time there is no known connection between Clark and Eakes.
