Michael Waynick charged with public intoxication on Cunningham Lane

51-year-old Michael Dwayne Waynick was arrested last Wednesday afternoon after officers responded to a call of public intoxication on Cunningham Ln. According to Clarksville Police, Mr. Waynick was found sitting on the curb of Cunningham Ln with a spilled beer can next to him and smelling of alcohol. Paramedics were already on the scene, and Mr. Waynick stated he needed no medical attention and was fine.

After police asked him if there was anyone he could call to come to pick him up, Mr. Waynick responded he was just going to his brother’s house and then pointed across and down the street. Police then helped Mr. Waynick to his feet and waited quite some time for him to collect his belongings, at which point he began walking across the street only to fall over immediately. After multiple attempts to help a fellow human being, the police had no choice but to arrest Mr. Waynick for public intoxication.

Maria Gonzalez left young children at home to work in Memphis for the day

29-year-old Maria Amezquita Gonzalez was charged with 3 counts of child abuse and neglect. According to Clarksville Police, who were responding to a welfare check called in by the father, on Dec. 6th, Maria Gonzalez left her 3 kids, ages 9, 8, and 4, at home all-day unsupervised because she had to be in Memphis at 7 a.m. to film a tv episode for 12 hours.

Reportedly, Mrs. Gonzalez’s next door neighbor, Celina Robinson, told the officer she had been asked to watch the kids while Mrs. Gonzalez was away for the day, after which the police confirmed with Mrs. Gonzalez over the phone that this was true; only for Mrs. Robinson to later recant, saying she had no prior arrangement with Mrs. Gonzalez to watch the children, she had no idea the children were home alone and Mrs. Gonzalez had only contacted her once throughout the day to check on the children, by which point the police were already on the scene.

Oshay Randall Coffee kicks 6-year-old niece in stomach after jerking her to the ground

27-year-old O’Shay Randall Coffee is charged with felony child abuse and resisting arrest after police say he assaulted his six-year-old niece on the property of Hazelwood Elementary School on December 6th. School security cameras captured him jerking the child to the ground and kicking her in the stomach as he walked her to the school. As officers were taking him into custody, Coffee began to pull away from officers and was taken to the ground by multiple officers.

Roommates Kassandra Cook & Olivia Patrick jailed over laundry day fight

26-year-old Kassandra Ilene Cook & 23-year-old Olivia Nicole Patrick were both jailed Wednesday afternoon. The University Landing roommates had a dispute over whose laundry day it was. Both roommates gave conflicting stories of who assaulted the other first, but a third roommate, Holly Batts, stated she saw the two arguing and stated Kassandra punched Olivia in the face, upset that she had clothes in the dryer when it wasn’t her assigned laundry day. Kassandra then tried to close the door to her room when Olivia pushed it open and punched Kassandra in the face.

Woman with COVID, Rebecca Sealy, charged after coughing on husband to spread virus

31-year-old Rebecca Lee Sealy, who describes herself as a “Dom Fem” online, was jailed Tuesday after her husband, Ted Sealy, told police they were in the car together when she reached over and stuck two of her fingers in his mouth, pushing down on the back of his tongue, and coughed on him. Sealy reportedly recently tested positive for COVID-19, and her husband says she was purposefully coughing on him to spread the virus. Ted stated he felt assaulted and disrespected by his wife’s actions.

52-year-old Deborah Lynette Earnest was involved in a vehicle crash Monday evening just before 6 p.m. When officers questioned her about the accident, she could not form complete sentences and believed she was on an entirely different road. She stated she had consumed “four Cosmopolitans” before driving. Officers say she reeked of alcohol and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. She was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Soldier Mason Gunner Aydelott charged with DUI after leaving Nudie’s Honky Tonk

Police say 25-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Mason Gunner Aydelott was pulled over Saturday night for failing to maintain his lane of travel on Riverside Drive in Clarksville. When asked about his obvious alcohol usage, Aydelott stated he had “five or six” alcoholic drinks at Nudie’s Bar in Nashville prior to driving. He further stated he should not have been driving, felt “buzzed,” and considered himself a “3” when asked how drunk he was on a scale of 1-10. He was transported to booking and charged with DUI.

Dylan Kolenda invades neighbor’s home in drunken stupor

Police say 22-year-old Dylan Trevor Kolenda invaded a random house on Timberdale Drive at 4:19 a.m. Sunday. Officers responded to the home invasion 911 call and detained Kolenda, who had been in a minor scuffle with the homeowner. Kolenda was extremely intoxicated and believed this was his home, but was unable to remember his address, which turned out to be next door. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.

Valerie Knight charged with drug possession after trespassing at Walgreens on Madison St.

41-year-old Valerie Elizabeth Knight was trespassed from the Madison Street Walgreens in May. On December 1st, the manager on duty noticed she was inside the store and contacted the police, who found her near the ATM. As she was being arrested for criminal trespass, she was searched before being placed into the patrol car. Officers found prescription pills inside a small tan cloth bag. She claimed she was prescribed the pills but was unable to provide a prescription or the bottles.

Police say 26-year-old Steven Louissaint broke the nose of his ex-girlfriend, Shawanda Mason, after she called him a bitch. He was giving Mason and their daughter a ride to the hospital to be seen, as the daughter was sick. On Dover Road, he began to argue about relationship issues and called her names. She responded he was a “bitch,” and he backhanded her, which broke her nose, according to responding medics. Corey Johnson charged in roommate rumble over late-night TV & gaming

18-year-old Corey William Johnson and Luis Garcia Paz are roommates, and in the early hours of Friday morning, Clarksville Police responded to their Audrea Lane home, where the two were having a domestic spat. Paz stated he had asked Johnson to turn off his TV at 10 p.m. as the two had agreed on when Johnson moved in a month prior. Johnson refused, and Paz turned off the TV in Johnson’s bedroom. Johnson got out of bed and approached Paz aggressively. Afraid of being hurt, Paz pushed him back onto the bed and held him down.

Johnson says Paz entered the room and unplugged his gaming console after demanding he turn off the TV. He says Paz pinned him to the bed and held onto the side of his neck. Johnson was determined to be the primary aggressor.

Soldier Brandon Martin pushes wife into laundry basket during argument

26-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Brandon Matthew Martin was in an argument with his wife, Kristen Martin, late Friday evening in their bedroom. She says the argument escalated and moved to the living room of the home, where he yelled and screamed at her. He reportedly approached her aggressively, causing her to push him to keep him away. In response to the pushes, she says Brandon threw her onto the floor and into a clothes basket.

She got up and punched him in the chest before the fight ended. Brandon claimed the argument was only verbal, and nothing occurred. He was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

DUI: American Pride Boxing owner Kelvin Garcia hid alcohol after crash at church

38-year-old Kelvin Joel Garcia, who owns American Pride Boxing in Clarksville, crashed his vehicle at Williams Chapel Baptist Church on Needmore Road at 9:26 a.m. Multiple witnesses stated that “a bald male” ran from the red truck and carried a white bag to the tree line and returned without the bag. Officers made contact with Garcia back at the vehicle, where they found him to be visibly intoxicated.

He admitted to drinking “last night” and claimed to have never left the immediate area of the wrecked vehicle. Officers located the bag in the treeline, and it contained several consumed alcoholic beverages and one can that was still cold to the touch and freshly opened. Garcia performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

Austin Mellender jailed for felony auto theft & two handguns

18-year-old Austin Michael Mellender is jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond charged with the theft of a 2020 Ford Escape from Rheann Vera. Officers located him inside the vehicle with two male juveniles, ages 13 and 14, on Pageant Lane with 15 grams of marijuana and a loaded .22 magnum revolver, which was also reported stolen. He attempted to flee during the arrest but was captured after a brief foot chase. A search also revealed a 9mm handgun in the pocket of his hoodie. During an interview, it was learned all three individuals participated in the vehicle theft.
