Candace Quarles charged in assault of girlfriend during NYE argument

Police say 26-year-old Candace Marie Quarles was having an argument with her girlfriend, Shaylin Navarro, about their relationship on New Year’s Eve. The verbal disagreement escalated when Candace reportedly threw a cell phone at Shaylin and pushed her in the chest. Shaylin says Candace then slapped her in the face twice. Shaylin suffered a black eye, a busted lip, and several abrasions to the side of her head. Officer took Candace into custody, charging her with domestic assault.

“You want to go?” Caswella Pruitt bites girlfriend after pinning her to the bed

Marla Peoples-Yarbrough told police that her girlfriend, 44-year-old Caswella Dawn Pruitt, took her phone from her car, and when she asked for it to be returned, Pruitt responded with, “you want to go?” and threw a punch at her face. Pruitt reportedly then threw her girlfriend to the bed, leaving scratch marks on her neck. Pruitt bit her girlfriend’s hand during the struggle while she had her pinned to the bed. Yarbrough exited the room and screamed for any other guests at the Oak Haven Motel to call 911. Officers arrived and took Pruitt into custody, charging her with domestic assault.

Khalil Titington charged after breaking ex-girlfriend’s door while collecting money owed

Jasmin Winter says her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend, Khalil Shaqquan Titington, came to her home on New Year’s Eve to collect money from her. After she paid him what he was owed, she shut the door, leaving him standing outside. He banged on the door, demanding to be let back inside, and she refused to answer or acknowledge him any further. He then threw a glass bottle through the glass portion of the door in a rage, causing it to shatter. Officers arrived and he admitted to the vandalism.

Javonte Mallard avoids DUI charge, stands outside of his vehicle as police arrive

Staff at Mr. Billy’s Bar & Grill on Dover Road on January 2nd called police to report that 29-year-old Javonte Aquinton Mallard had been disorderly at the bar and was now drunk driving home. Officers located the reported car en route to the bar; however, it was unoccupied at an intersection. Nearby was the car’s owner, Mallard, standing outside the vehicle. Officers say Mallard was visibly intoxicated and admitted to drinking Corona beers at the bar. He was issued the notice of criminal trespass from the bar at their request and advised to continue walking home, which was a short distance away. Instead, he attempted to walk back toward his abandoned vehicle and raised his voice at officers. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

Haley Hall jailed after slapping her husband in argument about food

21-year-old Haley Lynn Hall was parked with her husband, Travon ‘Tray’ Weaver, outside of Advance Financial on Wilma Rudolph Blvd on January 4. As the couple sat in their burgundy Honda Civic, they had a verbal altercation about food. Haley then reportedly exited the passenger side of the vehicle, walked around to the driver’s side of the vehicle, where Travon was seated, and slapped him in the face. She was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Clarksville’s newest Italian restaurant, Casa D’Italia Ristorante, received a devastating score of 59 from the health department in its third week of being open to the public. Hands were not washed, dishes were not sanitized, sausage and ground beef items were cooked 3 hours in advance and sitting out at 76 degrees, meatballs were under temperature, pasta was pre-cooked and held at 48 degrees, and dozens of other violations. 22-year-old Autumn Faith Ferrier was charged with public intoxication just after 3 a.m. on New Year’s day at Oneal’s bar on Madison Street in Clarksville. Officers say she was visibly upset and had a hard time comprehending the current circumstances. She was extremely intoxicated, according to police. Fort Campbell soldier Joshua Strunk charged with DUI at Screaming Eagle Cigars

30-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Joshua Michael Strunk was charged with DUI on December 29th. Police say they were called to the Screaming Eagle Cigars on Ft. Campbell Blvd after Joshua was stopped by an employee as he was driving away because he appeared intoxicated. He was sitting in his car with the engine running when officers arrived and admitted to having “a few” alcoholic beverages earlier in the evening. According to police, Joshua was unsteady on his feet, had watery, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and blew a .168% BAC on a breathalyzer.

Sherryl Hollis bites son in front of officers who responded to 911 call

58-year-old Sherryl Denise Hollis was charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest on December 30th after police responded to a possible suicidal subject at her apartment on Cobalt Drive. Police say Sherryl bit her son, Brandon, as she was upset he called 911 and he was attempting to calm her down. As officers were conducting their investigation and decided to place her under arrest for the domestic assault, she resisted arrest by placing her hands to her chest, planting her feet, and refusing to sit, requiring officers to pull her into the squad car to be transported to Montgomery County Jail.

Sarah Moore charged with underage possession of alcohol when found drunk on Cheatham Drive

19-year-old Sarah Jessica Moore was propped up against a knocked-over recliner when Clarksville Police came into contact with her on December 28th. They were responding to a domestic incident on Cheatham Drive. Officers questioned her as she appeared to be heavily intoxicated, and she stated she had “two shots of rum.” Sarah told police her roommate gave her the alcohol. Her roommate says Sarah’s boyfriend gave it to her. A bundle of alcoholic “shooters” was visible in Sarah’s purse. She was taken into custody and charged with underage possession of alcohol.

29-year-old Miranda Lynn Spurr was charged with two counts of domestic assault on December 28th. According to police, Miranda reportedly headbutted her husband, Shaun Spurr, and his brother, William, while arguing with them. Shaun told police she yelled, “I will kill you,” and “I will slit your throats,” after he and his brother barricaded themselves in a bedroom and used a dresser to block the door. Miranda told police, “I was just trying to scare them,” before being taken into custody and transported to Montgomery County Jail for booking.

Paula Northcutt pulls gun on husband, who she says is having an affair

57-year-old Paula Jeanice Northcutt is charged with aggravated assault after reportedly threatening her husband with a gun for having an affair. Paula told police she knew her husband had been having an affair as recently as three days ago and when he came home around 4:30 a.m. and went to bed downstairs. He says she then grabbed the firearm and had it down at her side, and went downstairs to confront him about the affair. He disarmed her during the argument and physical altercation and secured the gun in his vehicle until the police arrived. She admitted to having a couple of glasses of wine before he got home while “thinking about the situation” and placed his things outside the home after the argument.

23-year-old Tessa Nicole Travis is free on a $70,000 bond after Clarksville Police raided her home on December 28th to execute a search warrant. Inside the home, agents seized marijuana, MDMA, smoked blunts, THC vapes, THC edibles, THC wax, THC drinks, and over 100 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Paraphernalia was also located, including rolling rays with residue, grinders, multiple phones, bongs, and plastic baggies. Cash, a shotgun, and a Glock handgun were also seized. A co-defendant, Brent Davis, was also charged.
