18-year-old Corey Charles Lawton failed to use his headlights at night in the early hours of January 20th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached the driver’s side. Lawton admitted he had four drinks before going to a bar where he had more. He consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and agreed to provide a blood sample. Lawton was taken into custody for driving under the influence.
Corey Charles Lawton of Tennessee Avenue in Fort Campbell, KY, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on January 20th, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,500.
