45-year-old Joshua Aaron Smith failed to stop for a stop sign at the Queens Bluff Way and Ashland City Road intersection in the early hours of January 28th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and observed Smith to be visibly intoxicated as they approached the driver’s side. He admitted to drinking, consented to sobriety tests, and performed poorly. They informed him of implied consent, and he agreed to provide a blood sample. Smith was taken into custody for driving under the influence and a stop sign violation.
Joshua Aaron Smith of Chambliss Road in Pleasant View, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on January 28th, charged with DUI and improper stop at stop sign. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,500.
