19-year-old John Craven was seen speeding on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard on July 5th. Officers tailed Craven and observed him crossing the white line several times, so they conducted a traffic stop. When officers interacted with Craven, they noticed multiple signs of intoxication, including the smell of an alcoholic beverage. When asked, Craven confessed that he had six drinks but stated that he had stopped drinking hours prior. Craven agreed to perform sobriety tests and performed poorly. Craven was taken into custody for underage driving under the influence.
John Evan Craven of River Terrace in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 5th, charged with underage driving while impaired. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,500.
