26-year-old Makarri Byrd was involved in an altercation with his brother Ah-Ra-Taza Byrd on August 29th. When officers spoke with Ah-Ra-Taza, he stated that during an argument, Makarri pushed him in the chest and punched him in the face. Law enforcement reported that upon interviewing Makarri, they found the statements that Ah-Ra-Taza provided conflicted with Makarri’s.
Due to both of them having visible injuries and officers being unable to determine the primary aggressor, both brothers were taken into custody. Makarri was then transported to booking and charged with domestic assault.
Makarri Harith Byrd of Sam Houston Circle in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on August 29th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $500.
