Cassandra May charged in assault of boyfriend, Dalton Duckett

24-year-old Cassandra May was jailed on April 12th after an argument turned violent with her boyfriend at their home on Connemara Way. Police spoke with May, who said that during the argument, Dalton Duckett leaned over her while she was sitting in a chair and yelled at her, so she slapped him in the face. After the slap, he reportedly pushed her so hard that the chair flipped over. Dalton told the police that he pushed her to get away.

May then called the police, got in her parent’s car, and started to drive out of the driveway when Dalton reached into the car and turned it off. May bit him on his shoulder when he reached into the car. Police could see the bite mark and scratches on his body. Dalton told police he turned the car off because he didn’t want May driving while she was upset. May gave up, moved the vehicle onto the side of the road, and waited for the police to arrive. Police determined she was the primary aggressor due to Dalton’s injuries, and she was transported to booking.

Dawna Thompson charged with embezzlement from The People’s Clinic

49-year-old Dawna Thompson was booked last week on an outstanding warrant from February after stealing thousands of dollars from her employer. Police responded to The People’s Clinic and spoke to the owner, who said he discovered Dawna, his former bookkeeper, had been stealing thousands of dollars from the company’s bank account for over a year.

On November 28th, 2022, she made an unauthorized Amazon purchase totaling $477.35 and another separate purchase of $272.66. On December 5th, 2022, she made three more separate Amazon purchases totaling $302.09, $54.64, and $120.44. Ms. Thompson used the company bank card to purchase all of her personal items on the company’s Amazon Account and had all the items shipped to her address under her mother’s name. Ms. Thompson told police that she did misuse the card in the past, but she always repaid the money. The company stated that they never authorized Ms. Thompson to make any purchases with the company’s bank card.

Jessica Wilk throws statue at boyfriend in argument over “messy house”

28-year-old Jessica Wilk and her boyfriend, James Yeargin, returned to their home on April 14 when James reportedly started an argument about the house being “a mess.” Both parties claim the other pushed them, and Jessica admitted to throwing a statue at James and breaking it. James was able to duck, and it only grazed his hands, leaving visible cuts and destroying the statue. Jessica was determined to be the primary aggressor and taken into custody.

DUI: Soldier Murphy Brown found asleep behind the wheel at 2 a.m.

Police say 32-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Murphy Brown was asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at 2 a.m. on April 14 at Peachers Mill Road / Millstone Circle. Responding officers say the seat was reclined, and he seemed to be comfortably sleeping. A knock on the window awakened Brown, who opened the door. He reportedly smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot and watery eyes. He was unsteady when exiting his vehicle. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to booking.

DUI: Weston Briggle had 4 beers and 2 shots before driving with 2 children in vehicle

39-year-old Weston Briggle was jailed on April 8th after he flipped his Kia on Mountain Road with two children inside. Police responded to the crash site and saw the Kia flipped on its roof and all passengers outside the vehicle. When police spoke to Briggle, they could smell alcohol coming from him, and his eyes were a bit bloodshot. There was an open container of Coors Light in the car, and police asked Briggle if he had consumed any alcohol which he replied that he had at least four beers and two shots within the last hour. He agreed to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and was transported to booking. He had his three-year-old child and his girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter in the car with him during the crash.

Cyron Reyes charged in 3 a.m. DUI on Riverside Drive

24-year-old Cyron Reyes was jailed on April 9th after driving drunk on Riverside Drive. An officer in an unmarked vehicle saw Reyes following too closely behind an SUV and was pulled over on Ashland City Road. Police could smell alcohol coming from the car while speaking with Reyes and noticed his red watery eyes. He was asked to exit the vehicle and agreed to field sobriety tests which he performed poorly and was transported to Sango ER for a blood sample. Reyes has no prior history of DUI.

Soldier Kenneth McCormack flees from police on his motorcycle just before 3 a.m.

24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Kenneth McCormack was jailed on April 9th after taking off on the police when they tried to pull him over for speeding on his motorcycle. An officer saw McCormack going 67 mph on Dover Road at 2:40 a.m. When the officer turned on his lights and siren, McCormack sped off trying to avoid being pulled over. The Officer turned off his emergency equipment and saw McCormack pull into Mr. Billy’s Bar and go inside. The officer followed and was able to identify McCormack by his clothing. He would not give the officer his Driver’s License, but he was able to be identified by cross-referencing from a prior incident on his motorcycle within the city.

Corey Wiist found passed out from Fentanyl at gas pump in Clarksville

33-year-old Corey Wiist was jailed on April 9th after falling asleep behind the wheel of his truck at the Marathon Gas Station on Ashland City Road. Police responded to pump four and banged on the driver’s side window several times to wake Wiist up. When he finally woke, his eyes were glossy, and he had pinpoint pupils. Officers asked to search his truck and if there was anything illegal inside, to which he stated, “There shouldn’t be.” While other officers were searching his vehicle, He agreed to sobriety testing and performed satisfactorily.

Fentanyl wrapped in tin foil was found in the center console, along with two cut straws with residue. It was later discovered that Wiist had no active driver’s license, as it was revoked in 2017. He was then arrested, and more fentanyl was found, this time wrapped in lottery tickets in his wallet. Mr. Wisst admitted to the substances being fentanyl and using it earlier that morning.

20-year-old Andrea Puga was jailed on April 8th after attacking her husband at their home on Malibu Drive. Police spoke with Brandon Worthy, who said he and his wife argued because they had taken each other’s phone. It became physical when Andrea pushed him onto the couch and tore his hoodie and pants pocket. Brandon told police that his wife started punching him in the stomach until he could get her off of him and leave the apartment.

37-year-old Steven Ritter was jailed on April 7th after reportedly pushing his girlfriend off the porch of his home on Dave Drive. Police responded to an anonymous call from a neighbor about two people “screaming and yelling” in the front yard. Police spoke with Rachell Barrett, who was getting ready to drive away. She said that she and her boyfriend were going through a breakup and got into an argument. The argument escalated when Ritter intentionally pushed Barrett off of the porch, causing her to fall.

Sean Mock charged with stalking his estranged wife in Clarksville

33-year-old Sean Mock was jailed on April 6th for an incident that initially occurred on April 1st after stalking his estranged wife, Michelle Barry. Mock showed up at O’Reilly’s while his wife was there. She never told him that she was going there, and when he arrived, he demanded that he see her phone, but she refused, so they got into an argument, and she left. Later that day, she started receiving phone calls from Mock, so she blocked his phone number, and he started calling from “no caller ID.” Michelle received a total of 21 calls which she didn’t answer.

While the police were talking to Michelle, Mock called her eight more times in 30 minutes. The police offered to answer the phone for her, but she was afraid it would make matters worse. Then on April 6th Mock continuously sent heart emojis to their old messages to get a reaction out of her. Michelle said he is the only one with access to their message thread, and this violates an active COR.

Katelyn Godert charged with breaking down cousin’s door & making threats

23-year-old Katelyn Godert picked up her cousin, Taylor Dawn Warren, in the early hours of April 7, after Warren had become too intoxicated. Taylor Assaulted Godert when they returned home, and Taylor then went to her bedroom in the residence. She says Katelyn then kicked in the door and made threats toward her, placing her in fear of being injured or attacked. Officers took Godert into custody, charging her with domestic assault.

Taylor Dawn Warren drunkenly assaults cousin who tried to help her

21-year-old Taylor Dawn Warren was picked up by her cousin, Katelyn Godert, after Taylor had consumed too much alcohol. As they were arriving back at the residence, Taylor began an argument in the vehicle. They then exited the vehicle and began to walk to the front door when Taylor Dawn punched her cousin in the face. Her cousin took her to the ground in self-defense. Warren was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Christopher McMakin charged after dragging girlfriend across floor by her wrist, per report

39-year-old Christopher McMakin was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from June, charging him with domestic assault. His girlfriend, Jessica Cawthon, told police they were in a verbal argument when he suddenly grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her onto the floor of their apartment. He then reportedly dragged her across the apartment, placing her in fear and hurting her. He fled before the police arrived, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

35-year-old Joel Demon was jailed earlier this month after assaulting his girlfriend, Jean Utley, who also makes frequent appearances on the booking log. She says he punched her in the face on April 2, placing her in fear. Officers documented visible injuries to her face and located Demon a short distance away from their Wilma Rudolph Blvd. hotel room. He also had drug paraphernalia on him at the time of his arrest.

Steven Burney indicted for food stamp fraud by Grand Jury

56-year-old Steven Burney has been indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury on charges of food stamp fraud. An indictment that was returned in March alleges that Burney illegally used a food stamp card to which he wasn’t entitled at a local Kroger for groceries totaling over $100. At the time of his arrest on the indictment, Burney was found to have seven Oxycodone pills in his pocket.
