20-year-old Jace “Fredo” Downey was caught aiding a minor in running away from home at Blue Spruce Drive on February 10th. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and made contact with Downey’s aunt. She told officers that Downey was at Governor’s Square Mall with a girl who stayed the night. Once at the mall, officers made contact with both the minor and Downey. Downey stated that he picked up the minor this morning at a Kroger, but the minor said she stayed the night at his residence. The minor’s mother was able to provide messages on her daughter’s phone displaying messages from “Fredo” to the minor about seeing each other on the night of February 9th. Jace Downey was taken into custody and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Sean Conklin, 19, says he drank at Revel House before crashing car on way home
Following reports of a hit and run, 19-year-old Sean Conklin was arrested after he reportedly admitted to drinking with his juvenile girlfriend at the Revel House near downtown Clarksville before getting into a wreck and then fleeing the scene. When Officer Keenan Driskell caught up to Conklin after the wreck at the intersection of Pembroke Place and Oak Park Drive, he stated that he was attempting to drive home, but his car stopped operating. Officers observed he smelled of alcohol and he performed poorly during the field sobriety tests. Officers also learned that Conklin was supposed to have an interlock device following history in North Carolina, but one was not in the vehicle. According to police, Conklin was drinking with his underage girlfriend at Revel House prior to the crash, which occurred at 1:42 a.m. on September 28.
Austin Mellender jailed for felony auto theft & two handguns
18-year-old Austin Michael Mellender is jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond charged with the theft of a 2020 Ford Escape from Rheann Vera. Officers located him inside the vehicle with two male juveniles, ages 13 and 14, on Pageant Lane with 15 grams of marijuana and a loaded .22 magnum revolver, which was also reported stolen. He attempted to flee during the arrest but was captured after a brief foot chase. A search also revealed a 9mm handgun in the pocket of his hoodie. During an interview, it was learned all three individuals participated in the vehicle theft.
Tonette Fletcher joins her two daughters in attacking two neighborhood children #ChildAbuse
VIDEO: 41-year-old Tonette Fletcher faces two counts of child abuse/neglect and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child after authorities say she drove her two juvenile daughters to confront two other female juveniles. As the pairs of children were fighting each other, she punched the two opposing children with her fists. She then went live on social media, boasting about the assault and how she punched the children, and she and her daughters were going to repeat the assault again the next day.
