24-year-old David Sanchez was involved in an altercation with his friend, Gregory White, on Ashland City Road on August 8th. When officers arrived, they spoke with White about the incident. White told them that when he went to Sanchez’s house to get some of his tools, Sanchez threatened him and told him to leave. White stated that Sanchez started chasing him in a Chevy Suburban once he left. White then reported to officers that a short time into the chase, Sanchez bumped into his car. After Sanchez hit his vehicle, White stated he pulled into a nearby parking lot on Ashland City Road. Once White was parked, Sanchez rammed into the side of his car and did a donut around it. While Sanchez was doing the donut, he entered the street and was hit by a semi-truck shortly after. After being hit by the semi, Sanchez then hastily left the location. Officers spoke with several witnesses who corroborated that Sanchez intentionally hit White’s car and that he got hit by a semi-truck once he left. Officers later made contact with Sanchez at a residence on Circle Drive. During the officer’s investigation, a crash investigator concluded that what White had alleged was true. It was later found that Sanchez had also been driving without a valid license. Due to this, Sanchez was taken into custody for aggravated assault, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of an accident.
