Window tint traffic stop finds Nathaniel Crespo with 14 zips of marijuana — $25K bond

Clarksville police pulled over 32-year-old Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Crespo for a window tint violation on the Jaguar he was driving on May 11th. During the court of the traffic stop, officers claimed to smell marijuana, and Crespose stated his brother had recently smoked in the car. Officer searched the vehicle and located two bags, one orange, and the other black. Inside the orange bag was a vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana. Two mason jars of marijuana, along with baggies and a scale, were found in the black bag. The total weight was just under one pound, coming in at 410 grams, or just over 14 zips.

Kristina Hood charged with slicing up her ex-boyfriend’s expensive sneakers, harassing his new girlfriend

29-year-old Kristina Hood now faces felony vandalism and misdemeanor harassment charges after she just can’t leave her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend alone. Her ex-boyfriend came by to pick up his shoes from her residence, and when he returned home and opened the boxes, the six pairs of shoes all had cuts across them, she had destroyed them with some sharp object like a knife or scissors. The shoes were valued at $1,500. She is also charged with harassing his new girlfriend by sending alarming and threatening text messages to her cell phone despite repeated demands to stop. More recently, she started calling the victim’s place of work, placing her in fear.

Jack Lankford faces felony after kicking co-worker’s vehicle at Trane, in parking dispute

59-year-old Jack Lankford is charged with felony vandalism after police say he caused an uproar in the parking lot at Trane on Wilma Rudolph Blvd with a co-worker. The victim states she arrived at work and parked her vehicle, however, Lankford seemed “disgruntled” about her choice of that particular parking spot, so she asked him “really?” In response, Lankford admittedly says he kicked her vehicle out of frustration, causing damages estimated to be over $1,000.

Eddie Calvin Coburn charged with felony custodial interference after defying court orders

A Grand Jury indictment charging 40-year-old Eddie Calvin Coburn Jr. with ten counts of felony custodial interference has been unsealed in Montgomery County this week. Coburn was booked on the charges on April 4th and is scheduled to be arraigned later this month. Coburn, who was the custodial parent of the 5-year-old child, reportedly refused to comply with court orders allowing visitation with the non-custodial parent on multiple instances since July of 2021.

Tamonica Gaines smashes neighbor’s door and car in apparent random rage

Police say doorbell video footage shows 47-year-old Tamonica Gaines approaching her neighbor’s door yelling and screaming as she picks up a ceramic planter and tossing it into the glass door, shattering it. She then picked up a folding metal chair and attacks the fender and hood of the car in the driveway, and smashes an outside light fixture and vent. The victim says she has only seen the neighbor from a distance, but doesn’t know her and has never interacted with her. The damage is estimated at $3,430.

Financial Advisor Robert Kennedy charged in theft of $10K cash from girlfriend, Heidi Blessing

52-year-old Clarksville Financial Advisor Robert Kennedy was jailed in Nashville Tuesday, charged with felony theft. Court records allege he stole $10,000 in cash from his girlfriend, Heidi Blessing, which she had recently withdrawn from the bank for an upcoming surgery. The lovers had been celebrating Robert’s birthday at her apartment and were reportedly intoxicated when they got into an argument. She placed the cash inside a gold makeup bag that night and says he absconded with the cash the next morning. Police say security cameras show no one else entering or exiting the residence during the time the cash disappeared. Robert Kennedy is the son of Reber and Opal Kennedy, of Clarksville.

Madison Gerkin called police on March 14th to report that her 19-year-old boyfriend, Malik Isaiah Scott, had assaulted her multiple times last year between August 20th and December 31st, 2021. She detailed being pushed over the foot of her bed, having a sweater ripped off her body, being strangled until she lost consciousness, and multiple other incidents she says occurred during those five months last year. Orlesha Wynn charged with attacking her ex-lover with a frying pan, slashing him with a knife, lying to police.

Clarksville Police say 23-year-old Orlesha Wynn reported that the father of her child, Brandon Calloway, had assaulted her at their shared apartment. Once at the scene, both parties were separated and interviewed, along with an independent witness. Police determined it was actually Wynn who first shoved her former lover into a washing machine, sliced his leg with a knife, and struck him with a frying pan. She then tossed the frying pan through the window of their shared vehicle.

Kemiees McClellan faces felony charge after lying to police about someone stealing her car

27-year-old Kemiees McClellan is free on a $10,000 bond after Clarksville Police say they caught her in a lie. On March 7th, she reported her car as stolen to CPD, stating someone took it while she warmed up her vehicle — it was 65 degrees at 6 a.m. that day, and above 40 degrees at 6 p.m., with the sun out all day long. Hours later, police contacted her to let her know her vehicle had been recovered. During an interview, she admitted to lying about the auto theft and stated she had given someone access to the vehicle and they had simply not returned it as soon as she desired.

APSU Officer Levi Grub charges teen with felony drug possession for marijuana during a traffic stop

Austin Peay Police Officer Levi Grubb says he observed 18-year-old Najee Brogdon driving a white Kia Optomi without headlights at 6:15 p.m. on February 27th. He conducted a traffic stop and says he immediately smelled marijuana. Brogdon admitted there was a black satchel with weed inside, and Officer Grubb found 22 grams of the green leafy goodness. He is charged with felony drug possession, and a commissioner set his bond at $10,000.

Sam’s Discount Tobacco Robbery case to be tried after nearly a 7-year wait — Marquis Moultrie in custody

After nearly a 7-year wait, 28-year-old Marquis Moultrie is in the Montgomery County Jail, charged with the 2015 aggravated robbery of Sam’s Discount Tobacco. Police say he forced his way inside while carrying a pistol, injuring the store owner. He threw the register to the ground when he couldn’t get the cables free to flee with it. After fleeing to South Carolina in 2015, he faced new charges and a prison sentence there for pointing and presenting a firearm, petit larceny, assault and battery 1st degree, burglary 1st degree, burglary 2nd degree, grand larceny, probation violation, failure to stop for blue lights and fleeing to evade arrest. He was eventually arrested in South Carolina in September of 2018 on all of those warrants.

Agents get a surprise from UPS while executing a controlled FedEx delivery of marijuana to a Clarksville home

Agents with the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force got a surprise as they prepared to execute a controlled delivery of 15 pounds of marijuana that had been intercepted in a FedEx shipment on February 15th. As they were conducting surveillance on the Faye Drive home in Clarksville after they had delivered the package, a UPS delivery truck arrived and dropped off an unexpected identical box at the home. A short time later, 37-year-long Shaneka Anjel Long 27-year-old Byron Brown arrived in a Jeep and took both packages inside.

Agents executed the search warrant and located their known package of 15 pounds of marijuana, and the UPS package, which was an additional 15-pound package of marijuana. In total, 30 pounds of marijuana were seized, in addition to various drugs and paraphernalia throughout the house and Jeep, including crack cocaine, a digital scale, and a handgun.

Man charged with strangling girlfriend while driving — Jalan Gibson

Naomi Pfundt says she was in an argument with her boyfriend, 23-year-old Jalan Gibson, on their way home and it became physical when he grabbed her by the neck and began to strangle her while driving. She says she briefly lost consciousness during the assault. Gibson, who goes by “Islah Hood” on social media, had fled the scene but was located near Gary Matthew’s and taken into custody after a short foot pursuit.

Man says roommate assaulted him when he refused his sexual advances on Valentine’s Day — Devante Ruffin

25-year-old Devante LaDavid Ruffin is charged with the felony aggravated domestic assault of his roommate, Richard Smith. Just before midnight on Valentine’s Day, Smith says Ruffin approached him at their shared apartment, demanding sexual favors from him. When Smith declined his advances, he says Ruffin grabbed him by the neck, assaulted him, and broke a liquor bottle across his face. Police documented an injury to the side of the victim’s face and bruising around his neck.

20-year-old Zola Greer says she went on a date with Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Abegg and had linked his credit card to her phone when they were paying for a movie, which was the only consent she had to use the card. Mr. Abegg soon noticed $1,660.88 of unauthorized spending on his card. Greer admitted to police she used his card without permission and stated she had told him she would return the money, which she had not yet done. She is charged with felony credit card fraud.

Man charged with assault of wife one month after she was arrested for assaulting him — Treyvon Johnson

Just one month after his wife, Ern’Drinque Walker, was booked into jail for biting him, 20-year-old Treyvon Johnson is charged with shoving her onto the bed and strangling her during an argument. She says she began to blackout during the Assault. In 2020, Trevyon was also charged with domestic assault after Ern’Drinque reported to police he “bear-hugged” her too tightly in another fight over a phone.
