27-year-old Jamon Jihad Forehand, an employee of Local 572, had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Jahnaee Lane, at their Eldos Trace Circle apartment in the early hours of August 29th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Lane. She stated that she and Forehand had a verbal dispute over her not being able to give him a ride to work and pick him up. Lane further explained that their argument escalated when Forehand got angry. She stated he grabbed a laptop and threw it onto the bed before punching a hole in the wall. Then, she said, when she went to call 911, Forehand approached her and punched her in the head.
After this, Lane said she went to her vehicle because she thought Forehand would drive off in it. Lane stated she waited there for law enforcement to arrive. Then, the police were notified of an individual matching Forehand’s description lurking in the wood lines behind the apartment complex. When officers located Forehand, he took off running until they could capture and detain him for the incident. A check through NCIC revealed that Forehand had two active CORs against him, listing Lane as the protected party. Forehand’s three minor children were left in Lane’s care. Forehand was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault, evading arrest, and two counts of contempt.
