According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Tyson Mullins was involved in the shooting on Martin Street on April 8th. When detectives arrived, they discovered two victims, Savannah Lumpkin and Glenn Nicholson Jr, deceased from gunshot wounds. While looking around the area, detectives received witness statements putting a white SUV at the house at the time of the shooting. A separate witness told detectives that shortly after the time of the homicides, a white SUV entered the Summit Heights projects with armed individuals exiting the vehicle carrying guns and a small safe-like object. Detectives were able to obtain surveillance footage that showed the SUV traveling to and from the location of the homicides. Additional footage showed five individuals walking empty-handed to the scene of the homicide and then exiting with an individual holding a black object. Video footage also showed Mullins exiting and then re-entering the rear doors of the SUV. Mullins’s cell phone data also placed him in the area and at the time of the murders. Tyson Mullins was taken into custody and charged with two counts of homicide on April 23rd.
