26-year-old Stephon Newby was jailed on February 3rd after hiding from officers inside the Kroger on Madison Street. Officers could smell alcohol coming from his breath as he told them that someone was trying to kill him. While officers talked to Newby, he would repeatedly state that customers walking by were trying to kill him. Officers determined Newby was a danger to himself and placed him in custody for public intoxication.

Angela Weinrich booked for being a nuisance at Kelly’s Big Burger

21-year-old Angela Clarita Weinrich was a being a nuisance at Kelly’s Big Burger on Riverside Drive in the early hours of February 3rd. Officers arrived and noticed Weinrich was highly intoxicated. Weinrich was unable to give them her name or address. Weinrich did not have a cellphone or any form of identification, so for her safety, she was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Ethan Bates booked after trying to sell drugs at Marathon Gas Station

20-year-old Ethan Bates was seen trying to sell drugs at the Marathon gas station on Holiday Drive early February 1st. The attendant at the gas station reported that Bates refused to leave and constantly asked if he wanted to buy drugs. Bates then walked to the Quality Inn lobby, turned around, and walked out. Earlier that same evening, Bates was kicked out of a Tanning Salon for walking in without a shirt or shoes. When officers came into contact with Bates, he walked away from them several times despite being in handcuffs. Once he was inside a patrol car, he immediately urinated on himself. 25-year-old Alvis Lopez-Jacinto was seen intoxicated at North Riverside Drive on January 28th. Lopez was in the front passenger seat of a vehicle that had been pulled over but displayed clear signs of intoxication. The driver was taken into custody for DUI, so Lopez had to get out of the car. Lopez had trouble maintaining balance when he got out and almost fell multiple times. Lopez could not find a ride in a reasonable amount of time and was deemed a danger to himself. 51-year-old Angela Marie Tucker stumbled through the parking lot in front of Casa Blanca, pulling on car door handles on January 28th. Officers responded and noticed Tucker to have pin point pupils and slurred speech. Officers noted that Tucker appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic substance. 44-year-old Darrell Gray Cornett had an altercation at Clarksville’s 3rd Base on South Riverside Drive late January 27th. When they arrived, multiple witnesses told officers that Cornett had been causing problems, yelling and kicking doors. Cornett was visibly intoxicated when he spoke to officers, stating he could not remember what had happened. Officers stepped closer to him to hear what he was saying. This caused Cornett to nearly fall, catching himself on the back porch railing. Cornett was taken into custody for public intoxication. 22-year-old Isileli Falemahafu Rivas argued with his friend Paul Allen at a bar on Tiny Town Road near Bobcat Lane in the early hours of January 26th. Rivas was agitated and unwilling to answer questions from officers when they arrived. They observed him to be visibly inebriated as he admitted to having three drinks before getting argumentative with Allen. Rivas was deemed a public nuisance and taken into custody for public intoxication.

Torrey Jackson drunkenly tries walking to Oak Grove from Tippers Neighborhood Pub

29-year-old Torrey Jackson called 911 an unreasonable amount of times on January 13th at Tippers Neighborhood Pub. Officers contacted Jackson at the intersection of Hazelwood Road and Needmore Road after he made four calls to the 911 emergency line. He was warned after the second call that if he called again, he would be arrested. He persisted in making two more calls afterward. Jackson informed the officers that he was walking to his Oak Grove home and had walked from Tippers to Hazelwood Road. So, due to the temperature outside and his level of intoxication, officers deemed him a danger to himself and others. Jackson was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and excessively calling 911.

19-year-old Floridian Tyler Aaron Metsala rode as a passenger in his friend’s car when they were pulled over at Burger King in the early hours of January 20th. Officers noticed he had bloodshot eyes, slurred his speech, and reeked of alcohol. Once officers confirmed he was intoxicated, they learned he was not old enough to consume alcohol. 28-year-old Samantha Hardy was jailed after reports of a white woman acting strange outside the Sudden Service gas station on Wilma Boulevard on January 2nd. The complainant advised that the white woman appeared to possibly be on drugs. Officers made contact with the woman, who was identified as Samantha Hardy. Hardy was observed with “tweak” like movements and slurred speech. Hardy then admitted to recently ingesting Fentanyl and consuming an alcoholic beverage. Officers gave Hardy multiple attempts to obtain a ride to a safe location, but she failed to do so. Samantha Hardy was taken into custody for public intoxication. Hardy’s children are in the care of their father.

42-year-old Joseph Venson Williams was drinking excessively at his residence on Madison Street and called into the Montgomery County E911 line to “talk to someone” late at night on December 13th. Officers arrived at his residence for a welfare check and spoke with him. Williams was highly intoxicated as officers advised him that he could legally drink in his house and told him to stay inside while they tried to contact his family. He went outside to the parking lot, had to be escorted inside, and told to stay inside. Williams then went outside again, fell on the ground, and refused to go back inside even when notified that he would go to jail if he did not comply. He began to pull his arms away as they tried to detain him, and he was taken into custody for public intoxication and resisting arrest shortly after.

59-year-old Sherryl Hollis was seen at a drive-through on Lowes Drive extremely intoxicated on December 7th. When officers made contact with Hollis, she had three 40 oz alcoholic beverage cans around her and was actively drinking from one of the cans. Hollis demonstrated signs of being under the influence of alcohol. She was deemed a danger to herself and others by being near an active roadway. Hollis was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

David Ralston sexually assaults friend, found shoeless behind Rookies Sports Bar

34-year-old David Ralston was involved in multiple altercations outside of Wise Guys Bar in the early hours of December 9th. Christine Lisle was asked by two males, one being Ralston and another being her friend, to take them to Wise Guys Bar from Billy’s Bar and Grill on Dover Road. Both men sat in the back seat, and Ralston sat behind her. He began to grab her breast multiple times while she was driving. Lisle and her friend told Ralston to stop several times, but he only stopped after she slapped him. Her friend told Ralston to get out of the car. When he confronted him outside of the car, Ralston struck him multiple times and took him to the ground. He attempted to defend himself shortly after, but Ralston ran into the woods. Witnesses saw these events and called the police, reporting that there were two individuals in the woods by Rookies Bar. Upon officers making contact with Ralston behind Rookies, officers observed that he was shoeless, rolling around on the ground, and yelling. While speaking with him, there was a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his person. The officers deemed Ralston to be a danger to himself and others. Ralston was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication, assault, and sexual battery.

34-year-old Kaefono Smalls was jailed after reports of a black male approaching vehicles on Austin Peay State University property asking for money on November 30th. Officers got a description of Elder as a white male in a plaid shirt, jeans, and a backward hat walking down Trenton Road, jumping in front of vehicles. He made contact with Elder on Trenton Road near Mcgee Court. This time, officers witnessed him jumping in front of oncoming traffic. Once in front of Elder, the officer could easily deduce that he was inebriated and believed Elder was a threat to himself and the people around him. 30-year-old Samuel King Lampkins wanders into stranger’s backyard, says he’s looking for “someone” on Alexander Boulevard on November 28th. A resident on Alexander Boulevard called the authorities regarding Lampkins being in their backyard. Officers arrived and located Lampkins in front of another residence, and he advised them that he had been drinking and consuming some marijuana. Lampkins was unaware of his whereabouts and was deemed a danger to himself. He was taken into custody for public intoxication.

24-year-old Owen Robinson was seen visibly intoxicated at Ride and Shine Auto Detail on Providence Boulevard, pulling door handles on November 26th. When the officer contacted Robinson, he told them he had just left AJ’s bar and was walking through the area. During the conversation, the officer could tell that Robinson was intoxicated and asked him if he had anything to drink; he said to them that he had six beers and smoked a blunt of marijuana. 59-year-old John Gunn was seen visibly intoxicated at the intersection of Maxwell Drive and Memorial Drive on November 24th. Law enforcement received a call from an Uber driver who told them he had picked up his passenger, John Gunn, on Essex Drive. He reported that when he picked him up, Gunn appeared intoxicated and, during the ride, yelled out, “Let Me Out!” The Uber driver proceeded to let Gunn out at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Maxwell Drive and observed him walking toward a house that was not his. When officers arrived at Memorial Drive, Gunn was in the backyard of the residence, clearly inebriated. While questioning him, Gunn seemed disoriented and needed clarification about which residence he was at. Law enforcement deemed Gunn to be a danger to himself and others. Gunn was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.

19-year-old Devan Whitaker was seen visibly intoxicated at Purple Heart Parkway on November 20th. Officers found Whitaker walking in the middle of the left lane. Whitaker was asked multiple times to stop walking in the middle of the road and talk to law enforcement. When other officers approached Whitaker, he began to run into oncoming traffic. Officers chased him and attempted to detain him, but he refused to put his hands behind his back and continued to pull away. Officers believed Whitaker was a danger to himself and possibly others, so he was transported to Montgomery County Jail. 20-year-old Noah Ross Racine was jailed on November 18th after officers responded to Emerald Hills Apartments. When officers arrived, they found Noah outside a door that didn’t belong to him. The apartment Noah was at belonged to CJ Boswell. Officers noted they detected the odor of alcohol coming from Noah, but he said he hadn’t been drinking. Noah was verbally aggressive and refused to enter the patrol vehicle. He kicked off the ground and tried to move away until he was placed into the patrol vehicle and transported to booking. While at booking, he challenged Officer Scroggins to a fight across the room. The officers told Noah to sit on the bench, but he refused and began making noises as if he were going to spit on Officer Rattray’s face. He was then restrained on the floor.
