William Boyd charged with public intoxication near Ford Ice Center downtown
22-year-old William Boyd was jailed on July 30th after police arrived at Ford Ice Center in response to a report of an argument between him and his girlfriend. Boyd would not give his car keys to his girlfriend, who was trying to prevent him from driving. He smelled of alcohol and swayed while he stood. He stumbled over his words as he agreed to sobriety tests and was deemed a danger to himself.
William Rice found with crystal meth after being bounced from Electric Cowboy
34-year-old William Rice was jailed on July 22nd after a complainant, Thomas Woods, reported he was drunk and refusing to leave the troubled Electric Cowboy bar. When officers arrived, they observed Mr. Rice standing near the entrance of the club. They could smell alcohol coming from him as he slurred, refusing to find a ride. He was then taken into custody and searched. Police located a baggie in his pocket containing 2.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Frank Williams charged with public intoxication after refusing to leave property
36-year-old Frank Williams was jailed on July 22nd when Naomi Porter told police that her guest at the MidTown Inn on Kraft Street was drunk and refusing to leave. Officers found Williams standing outside next to a dumpster. He smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and bloodshot watery eyes. He was given several opportunities to find a ride but refused and was taken into custody as he was a danger to himself.
Army’s Bruce Conrad drunkenly sleeps on sidewalk in front of Clarksville hotel
49-year-old U.S. Army Soldier Bruce Conrad was found sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the Hampton Inn & Suites near Exit 4 just before 5 a.m. on July 22. Officers responded to a call from hotel staff and awakened Conrad, who stated an Uber had dropped him off at the wrong hotel. He was extremely intoxicated and refused multiple officers to arrange a ride back to his correct hotel. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Ronald Kevin Cardwell jailed after harassing employees at Palmyra Market
42-year-old Ronald Kevin Cardwell was jailed after police responded to Palmyra Market for an individual harassing the employees. Cardwell appeared extremely intoxicated. He was unsteady on his feet, had slow, lethargic movements, and had bloodshot eyes. He responded to the officer’s questions very slowly. Police noted the only vehicles in the parking lot belonged to the owner and Cardwell, showing he arrived at the location himself and had intentions of leaving himself.
Manshon Shoulars jailed after fight near downtown Commons in Clarksville
30-year-old Manshon Shoulars was booked last week after police responded to Downtown Commons to find Shoulars intoxicated. He had difficulty standing up, slurred his speech, and reeked of alcohol. He was allegedly in a fight with two individuals. Police deemed Shoulars to be a danger to himself and others, and was transported to booking.
Jeffrey Cummins found unconscious on Riverside Drive
38-year-old Jeffrey Cummins was jailed on July 13th after officers found him lying unconscious on Riverside Drive. After a few sternum rubs, Cummins woke up. He had slurred speech, bloodshot watery eyes, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Police determined him to be a danger to himself as he had no idea where he was, and he was taken into custody and transported to booking.
Tyja Snipe charged with driving on a suspended license during traffic stop
25-year-old Tyja Snipe was booked last week on a citation for driving with a suspended license. Her license was suspended on December 18th, 2022, due to failure to pay fines. She was issued the citation during a July 2 traffic stop.
Ryan Rushton charged with drug possession in Walmart parking lot
25-year-old Ryan Rushton was jailed last week after police responded to a welfare check in the parking lot of Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard. An Anonymous caller stated that there was a man falling over and appeared to be on drugs. When police arrived, Rushton was on his hands and knees, pulling grass out of the ground. The officer stood in front of him, but he didn’t notice and appeared to be falling asleep on his hands and knees. He woke up distraught and consented to a search. The officer discovered a clear plastic case that contained a very distinct “corner baggie” The officer explained “corner baggies” are often used to store small amounts of illicit substances. Right next to Rushton, in a shopping cart, was a headphone case; inside the headphone case was a cut straw and a “corner baggie” of fentanyl weighing less than 0.5 grams.
Trent Montgomery drops pants & urinates toward woman at dog park in Clarksville
57-year-old Trent Montgomery was jailed on June 29th after walking up to a woman at a dog park and urinating in her direction. The woman told police that she was playing with her dog at the Autumn Winds Apartment’s community dog park when she saw a man wearing a dark-colored hat, black shirt, gray shorts, and a goatee. He came to the area she was at and urinated while facing her, exposing his genitals to her. She yelled at him to stop, and when he didn’t, she took pictures and videos of the incident.
She believed that the man intentionally pointed his penis in her direction while urinating, and she was extremely offended by his actions. When police arrived at the dog park, they saw a man that matched the description sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with a beer in his lap. There were multiple empty cans inside the vehicle, and he slurred as he told police that he had been there drinking for a while that day.
Soldier Trevor Calhoun jailed after drunkenly fighting with other soldiers
23-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Trevor Calhoun was involved in a fight with fellow soldiers just after 10 p.m. on June 15 on Robb Avenue. Officers arrived to find him with bloody clothing and injuries to his face. He would not provide the names of the multiple people who assaulted him, only confirming they were fellow soldiers. He was visibly intoxicated and reeked of alcohol. He admitted to having “two drinks” earlier in the night. Due to the multiple calls about the fight and his condition, Calhoun was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Sedrick Pete charged with public intoxication after leaving Clarksville bar
35-year-old Sedrick Pete was jailed on June 9th when police responded to Park Lane to find him lying passed out on the ground next to the road at Park Lane / Rebecca Lane. When he awoke, police could smell alcohol coming from his body, and he admitted to coming from a nearby bar. Mr. Pete was taken into custody as he was unable to care for himself.
Danilo Martinez — drunk and disorderly at the troubled Electric Cowboy bar
24-year-old Danilo Martinez was jailed on May 21st after police responded to a call about a man refusing to leave the troubled Electric Cowboy club in Clarksville. According to security, Martinez left Electric Cowboy and returned to fight another man. Security at the door stated he was trying to figure out what was going on, and Martinez swung at him as well. He had been drinking heavily at the club. When police arrived, security had Martinez in custody while he shouted profanities and kicked at them. The manager told police that they have had several problems with Martinez for three weeks in a row.
Soldier Taylor Hanson “I had 8 Brigade Beers” before breaking sprinkler & flooding jail cell
25-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Taylor Hanson was jailed on May 2 after being found extremely intoxicated in a parking lot on Fort Campbell Blvd just after 1 a.m. He told police he consumed “8 Brigade Beers” prior to their interaction. Officers attempted to place him into custody, but he actively resisted arrest and had to be taken to the ground to gain compliance. While in a holding cell at booking, Hanson destroyed the sprinkler in his cell, causing water to rush throughout the facility. He was additionally charged with vandalism of critical infrastructure..
Tara Close charged after drunkenly trying to get out of a car on the interstate
44-year-old Tara Close was jailed on April 30th after trying to get out of a moving vehicle on I-24. Police spoke with Close, who said she was returning from Nashville with her sister and her sister’s friends. She was slurring her speech and unsteady on her feet. Officers could smell alcohol coming from her as she explained that she was arguing with the other women in the car and wanted to get out. She said they dropped off one of the women on Peachers Mill, and she finally jumped out. The driver told police that close tried to open the door multiple times while driving on I-24. She refused to follow the officer’s instructions during the investigation and was placed into custody.
Soldier Stephen Habisreitinger goes buck wild in Dick’s Sporting Goods in Clarksville
27-year-old Fort Campbell E-3 Soldier Stephen Habisreitinger was jailed on April 22 after causing a drunken scene inside Dick’s Sporting Goods in Clarksville. The store manager called 911 after the soldier, who reeked of alcohol, was disturbing other customers and store employees. Officers arrived and observed Stephen making statements that were incoherent and not relevant to the context of the situation. He was unable to provide a number for anyone to pick him up, so he was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
Patrons take keys & gun from Dustin Carter after he falls asleep drunk at a Scooter’s Pub
33-year-old Dustin Carter was Jailed on April 2nd after falling asleep while sitting at the bar at Scooters Pub and being aggressive with staff. Police responded to the pub and spoke with Jason Meadows, a customer who told police Carter fell asleep at the bar, threw up in the bathroom, and then tried to get in his car and leave. The other customers tried to get Carter an Uber ride so he could get home safely, and he became irate when they took his car keys so that he couldn’t drive himself home. Jason noticed that Carter had a Glock 19 on his hip, so he took it, emptied the chamber, and placed it in the back office. When police saw Carter, he was clearly intoxicated, with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.
Police say Jeremy Rugante was “tweaking” on Wilma Rudolph Blvd at 2 AM
Police say 35-year-old Jeremy Rugante was “tweaking” when they encountered him on Wilma Rudolph Blvd on March 28 just after 2 a.m. He was described as having “tweak” like movements with pinpoint pupils and was sweaty with slurred speech. He was unable to provide an address or arrange for anyone to take him to a safe place, so he was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Cooper Chessman — dazed and confused at the Minit Mart at 6 a.m.
Police say 26-year-old Cooper Chessman wandered into the Minit Mart on Peachers Mill Road just after 6 a.m. on March 28 and appeared dazed and confused. Store employees were afraid he was going to pass out and called 911. Chessman was unable to tell responding officers where he was, how he arrived at the store, or how to get home. He initially denied using any drugs but later stated he didn’t know what he had used. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
