24-year-old Shelby Layne was involved in an altercation with her roommate, Susanna Martinez, at the Life Center Foundation Incorporation, a recovery program on Richardson Street on March 26th. Officers arrived at the mentioned location and made contact with Martinez, who stated that earlier in the morning, she and Layne had been having an argument about cleaning.
According to Martinez, Ms. Layne picked up a bar stool and acted like she was going to hit her with it before grabbing two knives from the bar and swinging them around as she chased Martinez. Officers received footage of Layne picking up the two kitchen knives and chasing Martinez out of the residence. Shelby Layne was then taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.
Shelby Montana Lane of Richardson St in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on March 26th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $2,500.
