Bobby Spires Jr. assaults his wife while driving down 101st Airborne Division Parkway

43-year-old Bobby Spires was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Davina Collier-Spires, at 101st Airborne Division Parkway on April 13th. Law enforcement received a call that several people were fighting on the side of the road near a black pickup truck. When officers contacted the couple, Bobby tried to explain the incident. Bobby stated that he was in the back seat of the vehicle when Davina reached into the back and punched him in the face. Bobby had a swollen cheek to corroborate his statement. Bobby then stated that the driver of the vehicle, his mother, pulled over, and he and Davina exited the car and struggled for custody of their juvenile daughter. While Officers questioned Bobby, they noticed he stated, “I had pulled over,” contradicting his claim that his mother was driving.

Officers then spoke with Davina, who said Bobby was driving the vehicle, not his mother. Davina stated that she was scared of how Bobby was driving and reached into the back to comfort their daughter. Davina also claims Bobby physically held her in the front and refused to pull over upon request. Davina then claims to have climbed in the back with the child, causing Bobby to pull over. Davina stated Bobby then opened the back door, pulled her out while she was holding their child, and threw her onto the grass. This caused multiple abrasions to Davina’s neck and arms. Bobby’s mother corroborated his statements. Officers then spoke with two witnesses on the scene who stated they observed the defendant pull the victim from the vehicle. Officers deemed Bobby to be the primary aggressor, and he was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Briana Shaffer speeds down Riverside Drive after drinking & smoking

On April 14th, 26-year-old Briana Shaffer was seen Speeding on Riverside Drive. When officers noticed Shaffer, they initiated a traffic stop near a parking lot on South Riverside Drive. Upon officers approaching Shaffer’s vehicle, they smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the car. Officers then spoke with Shaffer and noticed she had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. This prompted officers to search the vehicle, where they found a marijuana blunt in the center console with an estimated weight of 1.26 grams of marijuana. Officers also observed two Styrofoam cups that had alcohol inside of them. Shaffer stated they were filled with beer and margaritas but claimed they were both her passenger, Ashley Philips’, drinks. After officers had conducted a search of the vehicle, they performed sobriety tests on Shaffer, which she failed. Officers took Shaffer into custody for Driving under the influence and simple possession of drugs.

Demarko Hayes assaults wife & her son during altercation

On April 14th, Demarko Hayes was involved in a domestic incident with his wife, Sarah Hayes, at their 3 Summit Heights residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Sarah, who stated Demarko threw water at her and then pushed her face back. Sarah then stated that Demarko grabbed her arms with his hands and started shaking her, which made Sarah hit her head against the wall. Sarah claimed that her son jumped between them during this to push Demarko off her. Demarko then began scuffling with her son on the floor. Demarko told officers that nothing had occurred. Demarko was taken into custody for two counts of domestic assault.

Jacob Farley speeds down Highway 374 on revoked license

21-year-old Jacob Farley was seen speeding on Highway 374 on April 13th. Farley was observed by officers who stated that Farley was going 75mph in a 55mph zone. Farley then slowed down when he spotted officers. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the exit ramp of Highway 374 and Dover Road. As officers introduced themselves, Farley informed them of his DUI that happened in Kentucky, which led to his license being revoked on March 5th. While officers spoke with Farley, they noticed an open case of Modelo beer that was open with several drinks inside. Farley was then asked to exit the vehicle, and as officers searched the vehicle, they noticed an open Modelo Container and a firearm. Farley was taken into custody for Driving on a suspended license, Speeding, and having an open container of alcohol on April 14th.

John Johnson shoots wall during argument with wife, tells her he’s going to “Blow her brains out”

On April 13th, 68-year-old John Johnson was involved in a domestic incident with his wife, Daisy Johnson, at their Ishee Drive residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Daisy, who stated John had been drinking the entire day but started making threats toward her. Daisy also claimed that Johnson said he was going to “blow her brains out” and that their daughter heard the threat before she left to go to her home. After their daughter left, Daisy claimed John was still trying to argue, so she went outside to separate herself. Daisy then stated that when she returned inside, John had a pistol and still wanted to argue. Daisy claimed that she and John started arguing once again. This is when John then fired his weapon into the wall next to Daisy. John then proceeded to hit Daisy in the head and tried to pull her down the stairs with him. Daisy claimed she was able to separate from John. Daisy said she made it back to the living room while John walked outside to the back porch. Daisy then locked the screen door behind John and drove to their daughter’s house to call 911. John was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Jaia Cloud splashes water on husband during argument

22-year-old Jaia Cloud was involved in a domestic dispute with her husband, Nicholas Cloud, at their ARTE Luxury Townhomes residence on April 13th. Jaia explained to law enforcement that she and Nicholas argued in the morning. During the argument, Jaia grabbed a water bottle and splashed water on Nicholas. Nicholas stated that Jaia continued being aggressive and removed the lid off the water bottle again. This led him to believe she would throw the remaining water on him. Nicholas then attempted to get the water bottle away from Jaia, causing a tug-of-war between them. This pulling led to both of them falling to the ground. Nicholas was seen with a mark on his face and a scratch on his neck. Jaia Cloud was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Coral Heazlit drunkenly punches ex-boyfriend for preventing her from letting dogs out

31-year-old Coral Heazlit was involved in a domestic altercation with her ex-boyfriend, Ronald Gregory, at her Jordan Road residence on April 13th. Officers arrived and made contact with Gregory. Gregory stated that Heazlit was intoxicated and was trying to let the dogs out in the front yard. Gregory told Heazlit that he didn’t want the dogs to run away or get hit by a car, so he blocked Heazlit from getting to the dog crates. According to Gregory, Heazlit started to push and scream at him, causing multiple scratches on his back. The confrontation continued, and Heazlit ended up punching Gregory in the face. Officers observed the scratches on Gregory’s back and that his lips were slightly swollen with dried blood on them. The couple have a previous history of domestic assault. Coral Heazlit was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault.

Shawn Peveler unable to stand after found drunk in restroom at F&M Bank Arena

30-year-old Shawn Nicholas Peveler was being disorderly at the F&M Bank Arena in downtown Clarksville around 9:35 p.m. on April 11th. Staff members at the establishment alerted the authorities, advising them that multiple patrons complained about Peveler’s behavior. When the officers arrived, they located him inside the restroom. During their interaction, he showed numerous signs of impairment and could not stand up independently. He was given several chances to get a ride home but could not. Peveler was taken into custody for public intoxication.

Kristen Purnell charged after 4 year old child is found outside in the rain

26-year-old Kristen Purnell was caught neglecting her child at the Alto Luxury Townhomes on April 11th. Law enforcement received a call that a small child was outside in the rain with no adult present. Officers contacted the caller in the front office with the child when they arrived. The caller provided officers with video footage of the child attempting to climb the fence surrounding the complex’s pool. Officers were able to locate the child’s apartment due to a similar incident that occurred the previous week, on April 7th. Officers went to the child’s apartment, where they found that the front door was wide open. After several attempts to contact Purnell, she came to the door. Purnell told officers that she had worked the night shift and had been asleep. Purnell’s child is four years old. Kristen Purnell was taken into custody and charged with child neglect.

Nikesha Williams causes $540 worth of damage to ex-roommate’s apartment

28-year-old Nikesha Williams was seen vandalizing her ex-roommate, Joshua Craft’s, living room and kitchen at their Peabody Drive Apartment on April 7th. When officers arrived, they contacted Craft, who told them he came home to find his living room and kitchen in disarray. A witness of the incident, Kathy Jayroe, informed law enforcement that Williams moved out earlier in the day. Craft stated that there were numerous destroyed dishes, clothing with bleach stains, and two damaged PlayStation 4 games that belonged to him. All the damaged items were valued at around $540. Jayroe provided law enforcement with a text message conversation, which included her asking Williams why she would do that to the apartment. Williams replied, asking Jayroe why she would let her son do that to her. Williams also asked Jayroe why she wasn’t acting out when she was there. Nikesha Williams was taken into custody and charged with vandalism on April 11th.

Andre Gentry flees into woods after friend speeds down Tiny Town Road

23-year-old Andre Gentry, an employee of New Life Church, was seen in a vehicle with Amari Quarles, who was recklessly driving on Tiny Town Road on April 10th. Quarles was observed speeding down Tiny Town Road and then turning onto Pembroke Road, where he continued to speed. This prompted law enforcement to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. Deputies pursued the car with their emergency lights and sirens activated. However, the vehicle continued to speed off for two minutes before stopping at the end of Arvin Drive.

When the car came to a stop, both Quarles and Gentry exited the vehicle and ran into the woods. Another deputy was able to capture Gentry nearby. Deputies searched the car and found two handguns, 190.49 grams of marijuana, scales, and small baggies. One of the handguns inside the vehicle was reported stolen in Clarksville. A search of Andre Gentry’s person yielded another 8.4 grams of weed. Andre Gentry was taken into custody and charged with evading arrest, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of marijuana, theft of property, and unlawful drug paraphernalia.

25-year-old Briana Salyers, owner/director of The Happy Vine Villa, was caught assaulting a one-year-old child at Barkwood Drive on April 5th. When officers arrived, they made contact with Salyers. Salyers stated that the child had a history of biting other children at their daycare. So, she believed the best thing to do was to show the child not to bite. Salyer stated that she lightly bit five locations on the child’s body, including the forearm, shoulder, thigh, back, and cheek. 45-year-old Joshua Hess was caught stealing a 7×20 car hauler on February 14th, 2022. Hess was instructed to deliver the car hauler to the victim’s home, but it was later discovered that it had been stolen. A GPS tracking device was attached to the car hauler, aided in its recovery. Law enforcement attempted to contact Hess several times, but they were unsuccessful. The 7×20 car hauler is valued at around $6,000. 21-year-old Rylan Hopkins was involved in a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Jayna Williams, at the Baymont Motel on Holiday Drive on March 7th. Williams informed officers that Hopkins assaulted her after he went through her cell phone. Reportedly, Hopkins became enraged and punched her in the face five times while she was lying on the bed. Williams attempted to call for help by using the phone in the room, but she was unsuccessful. Williams ran to the door to find help, but Hopkins held the door shut and proceeded to strangle her. Ryan Hopkins was unavailable at the scene because he left before law enforcement arrived. Hopkins was later taken into custody and charged with aggravated domestic assault on April 10th.

Kacey Wilkins indicted for vehicular homicide after killing man while driving drunk in 2022

A Montgomery County Grand Jury has indicted 30-year-old Kacey Wilkins for vehicular homicide and two counts of driving under the influence on July 3rd, 2022. The indictment alleges that Wilkins killed a 32-year-old man while driving under the influence. Kacey Wilkins was taken into custody on April 10th. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $150,000.
