Kemiees McClellan faces felony charge after lying to police about someone stealing her car

27-year-old Kemiees McClellan is free on a $10,000 bond after Clarksville Police say they caught her in a lie. On March 7th, she reported her car as stolen to CPD, stating someone took it while she warmed up her vehicle — it was 65 degrees at 6 a.m. that day, and above 40 degrees at 6 p.m., with the sun out all day long. Hours later, police contacted her to let her know her vehicle had been recovered. During an interview, she admitted to lying about the auto theft and stated she had given someone access to the vehicle and they had simply not returned it as soon as she desired.
