Clarksville Police Department Officer Robert Schohn says he observed 22-yea-old Jonathan Widney speeding on 101st Airborne Division Parkway and conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop for speeding, K9 Officer N. Rodriguez arrived, and Officer Schohn made Widney exit the vehicle and informed him he was going to deploy the K9 for an open-air search after Widney denied consent to search the vehicle previously during the traffic stop.
Upon threat of the K9 deployment, Widney admitted there was an ounce of marijuana in the trunk. Widney was charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jonathan Widney was booked into the Montgomery County jail, charged with felony possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000.
