An investigator with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old U.S. Army Veteran Damon Stewart, Sr., intentionally threw a 10-year-old child to the ground at Oak Plains Academy Youth Center for Trauma & Psychiatric Services while using a known improper restraint technique and began pushing on the juvenile’s chest as other staff members attempted to pull him off the child. Stewart is charged with assault and is free on a $5,000 bond.
The incident occurred on December 9th, and Damon Stewart was taken into custody on December 28th, the day after the warrant for his arrest was signed. His bond was posted by 2nd Chance 24HR Bail Bonding. He is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on January 7th.
