27-year-old Kenyatta Noele Davis is free on a $5,000 bond after investigators found she abused a 13-year-old female under her supervision at Oak Plains Youth Academy. During an altercation with the youth, she placed her legs around the juvenile’s neck and punched her in the face until she was bleeding. She then texted her co-workers in a group chat with a photo of the young girl’s leg with blood on it and the text: “I f***** [youth’s name] a** up.. had her leaking…”
Brandi Bertram called police on August 31st to report that her (soon to be ex) husband, 39-year-old James Bertram, had texted her approximately 20 times throughout the day and called her twice during her workday at The Youth Academy – Sango, despite requests to stop. One of the texts stated, “I know you have your watch on,” and demanded a reply. When he received no responses, he went to her workplace and took photographs of her building and sent them to her while stating, “it’s going to be a long few days.”
An investigator with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old U.S. Army Veteran Damon Stewart, Sr., intentionally threw a 10-year-old child to the ground at Oak Plains Academy Youth Center for Trauma & Psychiatric Services while using a known improper restraint technique and began pushing on the juvenile’s chest as other staff members attempted to pull him off the child. Stewart is charged with assault and is free on a $5,000 bond.
