Maria Rodriguez-Serrano beats children after night of drinking

36-year-old Maria Rodriguez-Serrano was caught abusing her 16-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter at her Aspen Drive residence on April 23rd. Serrano’s son contacted law enforcement, alerting them that his mother had become aggressive. Officers arrived at the location and spoke with Serrano’s son and daughter.

They told officers that Serrano was intoxicated and punched them. Serrano’s daughter pleaded with her not to drive because of how drunk she was. This only led to Serrano punching and slapping her daughter. Serrano came back into the house and started beating her son in the head and body multiple times. When officers spoke with Serrano, she provided no details about the events. All she told officers was that they had a bad night. Maria Rodriguez-Serrano was taken into custody and charged with two counts of domestic assault.
