21-year-old Samuell Hassell was jailed on July 16th after police were flagged down on Commerce Street by a complainant who said he was being followed by a Jeep Cherokee. When police asked Hassell why he was following the vehicle, he slowly responded that he thought it was his friend Ben. He added that he thought Ben was driving a red car and was following him home from the troubled Electric Cowboy, where he had a few beers. Hassell agreed to field sobriety tests and performed poorly. He was taken into custody and blew a .105% BAC on a breathalyzer.
Samuell Christian Hassell of Highway 49 in Vanleer, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 16th, charged with driving under the influence. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $1,500.
