Azuri Young steals deposit bag from Subway containing $2,165

27-year-old Azuri Young was jailed after stealing a deposit bag containing over $2,000 from the Walmart parking lot on Madison Street. On April 11th, officers spoke with the manager of the Subway located inside the Walmart, Rakeshkumar Patel, who stated that an employee, Patricia Chirchirillo, had told her that he had misplaced the deposit bag.

Officers checked security footage from the parking lot and observed Chirchirillo get out of her vehicle and drop the bag as she walked toward the building. A short time later, a larger-framed black man wearing a dark hoodie, with a beard and short dreads, got out of a black Dodge Charger and placed the bag in a shopping cart. A records check identified Azuri as the suspect and revealed he was Chirchirillo’s son.

Police contacted Azuri and informed him that he was caught on camera taking the Subway deposit bag, but he denied it and demanded to see the proof. Officers called Chirchirillo to persuade her to have her son return the money, but they were unsuccessful. On April 25th, Azuri was taken into custody and charged with theft.
