26-year-old Levita Eliza Bates was driving her White Hyundai on October 1st when she backed into a car and drove away. The owner of the vehicle she hit was able to contact her, but she told him that it “wasn’t a big deal” and left without leaving any information. The owner of the car was able to take a picture of Bates’s license plate and provide it to law enforcement. Law enforcement discovered the White Hyundai was registered to Bates. The car’s owner and the passenger could identify Bates after being shown a photograph of her. Bates was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Levita Eliza Bates of Beech St in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on November 8th, charged with leaving the scene of an accident. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,500.
