31-year-old Ethan Tinsley was seen driving a Silver Nissan Pathfinder with his front headlight inoperable at Dover Road on December 8th. The officer observed Tinsley sitting at a green light for a few seconds before noticing that his left front headlight was unusable, which was when he conducted the traffic stop. Upon contact with Tinsley, the officer observed two other occupants. A strong smell of alcohol was coming from the vehicle. Tinsley was then asked to step out of the vehicle, where he also had an odor of alcohol coming from his person. Shortly after getting out of the car, he admitted that he had been drinking and had just come from AJ’s Bar. The officer asked Tinsley to perform some standardized field sobriety tests, which he consented to but executed poorly. Tinsley was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and light law.
