Sabre, the K-9 partner of Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Kelly Potter returned home Friday after emergency surgery Thursday. Sabre appeared happy to be back to familiar surroundings and faces while he recovers.
The department says he has a long road ahead for a full recovery, with more appointments scheduled for next week when more updates will be provided.
Third shift patrol and the Pet Food Center came together to make sure Sabre had everything he needed, including a new bed, food, and toys to enjoy in his newfound downtown during recovery.
