DUI Arrest: Christopher ‘Scotty’ Carter, 19, crashes Audi A7 into boulders & flees the scene

19-year-old Christopher ‘Scotty’ Carter was jailed on multiple charges, including underage DUI, after a March 17 crash. Deputies say the teen was traveling at 55 mph in a 25 mph zone on Wiley Brown Road when he crashed his black 2016 Audi A7 into decorative boulders, causing property damage and extensive front-end damage to the vehicle, including airbag deployment. Carter then drove to his home, less than a mile away on Surrey Ridge Road, without reporting the collision. Deputies located Carter at his home, where he had trouble standing, walking, and was slurring his words. He smelled of alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to Tennova Sango ER for a blood draw before being transported to booking. He is free on a $4,000 cash bond.
