30-year-old Soldier Joshua Eidson was involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, Stacy Jo Eidson, while at their Morestead residence on August 5th. When officers arrived, they met with Stacy, who was crying and visibly in fear for her safety. When asked what happened, she explained that she and her husband, Joshua, had gotten into an argument that turned physical. Stacy stated Joshua grabbed her in a bear hug and began throwing her around and slamming her into things. Stacy also claimed that while hugging her, he moved his arms and placed her in a rear-necked chokehold. However, she does not recall if she was strangled.
Stacy also advised that during the alteration, Joshua had snatched her phone when she was trying to call 911. During questioning, officers discovered that she was hospitalized around July 23rd with a significant head injury requiring staples because Joshua had hit her head on a bedside table. Stacy did not report this to medical staff or law enforcement at the time. Officers then attempted to speak with Joshua. He refused to come to the door and barricaded himself in the home to prevent his arrest. After some time, officers were able to call and talk Joshua out of the home via phone. Joshua was then taken into custody for domestic assault and interfering with an emergency call on August 6th.
