Police Officer Jarreil Peoples attacks woman with AK-47; kicks her in face through window

Embattled Police Officer Jarreil Peoples, 36, was jailed late Sunday night after assaulting the mother of his child with his feet after kicking through a window, brandishing an AK-47 rifle, and bodyslamming her. Peoples, who was fired from the Clarksville Police Department in 2020 after allegedly having sex in his patrol car with the same victim, and having nudes on his city-issued cell phone, has since found a new home with the Springfield, TN, police department, who overlooked his questionable ethics.

On Sunday night, Clarksville Police responded to Fox Tail Drive, where Lauren Bell was found injured and bleeding from the face. She stated Peoples, who is her ex-boyfriend and father of her child, approached her vehicle with an AK-47 when she arrived at his home for a scheduled exchange of property. She fled when he pointed the rifle at her, and he then called and told her to return as the weapon was now secured. When she returned to the property, Peoples kicked in the driver’s side window of her car and began to strike her in the face with his foot and shards of glass, leaving her bloody with injuries.

The victim also disclosed a prior assault to police from a few days prior, when she says Peoples came to her apartment to return a key when he picked her up and body slammed her into stairs. She provided police with Instagram messages from Peoples, which stated: “It’s my fault shouldn’t have done it” and “I’m keeping my hands to myself from here on out.”
