28-year-old Dwayne Perry was one of two individuals involved in an altercation prior to the murder of Steven Rhinehart on July 2nd. The shooter fired three 9mm rounds at Rhinehart as he attempted to leave a parking lot on Ringgold Road. Perry claimed he did not know the suspected shooter, but police later obtained evidence proving that the statements Perry provided were false and with the intent to hinder law enforcement from apprehending the person suspected of shooting and killing Steven Rinehart.
Dwayne Deshay Perry Jr of Ringgold Rd in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 15th, charged with filing a false report. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $10,000.
