William Shurden charged with DUI at McDonald’s drive-thru

29-year-old William Shurden was booked last week after police responded to a call about a drunk driver at McDonald’s on Wilma Rudolph. When police arrived, the complainant told police that Mr. Shurden was acting belligerent at the drive-thru window and smelled of alcohol. Police observed empty beer bottles in the center console and passenger’s seat of his vehicle. He was unsteady on his feet upon exiting the vehicle and had glossy eyes. Mr. Shurden consented to sobriety tests but performed poorly and was transported to Tennova Hospital for a blood sample.

William Dalton Shurden of Goodman Pl in Starkville, MS, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on July 24th, charged with driving under the influence, open container, and implied consent violation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $4,000.
