Officers responded to a call for service at Heritage Pointe Drive on the afternoon of September 24th. Upon arrival, Thomas Mitchell and his wife, 30-year-old Meletria Mitchell, were spoken to separately about the incident. She stated she and her husband were having a verbal argument about her moving back to Memphis. Thomas Mitchell stated she struck him 5 to 6 times in the face with an open hand and that he felt threatened during this. There were no visible injuries, but due to allegations of assault from her husband, Meletria Mitchell was deemed the primary aggressor and was placed into custody for domestic assault.
Meletria Mitchell of Heritage Pt. Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on September 24th, charged with domestic assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $500.
