29-year-old Soldier Alred Minjarez-Acosta had an incident with an unidentified individual at the troubled Electric Cowboy late August 29th. Patrolling officers witnessed Minjarez-Acosta run across the parking lot and hit the other involved party with an open hand. Minjarez-Acosta told the police he was under the influence of alcohol and admitted to hitting the other person. Minjarez-Acosta was taken into custody for public intoxication and assault on August 30th.

Jamon Jihad Forehand violates conditions of release after punching girlfriend in head
27-year-old Jamon Jihad Forehand, an employee of Local 572, had a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Jahnaee Lane, at their Eldos Trace Circle apartment in the early hours of August 29th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Lane. She stated that she and Forehand had a verbal dispute over her not being able to give him a ride to work and pick him up. Lane further explained that their argument escalated when Forehand got angry. She stated he grabbed a laptop and threw it onto the bed before punching a hole in the wall. Then, she said, when she went to call 911, Forehand approached her and punched her in the head.
After this, Lane said she went to her vehicle because she thought Forehand would drive off in it. Lane stated she waited there for law enforcement to arrive. Then, the police were notified of an individual matching Forehand’s description lurking in the wood lines behind the apartment complex. When officers located Forehand, he took off running until they could capture and detain him for the incident. A check through NCIC revealed that Forehand had two active CORs against him, listing Lane as the protected party. Forehand’s three minor children were left in Lane’s care. Forehand was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault, evading arrest, and two counts of contempt.
Kenneth Layton repeatedly calls & texts woman despite being told not to
33-year-old Kenneth Christopher Layton messaged Maria Poindexter several times on June 1st, 2023, after being told not to. On May 28th, 2024, Poindexter filed a police report stating that she informed Layton not to contact her. However, he has continued to call and send messages since June 1st, 2023. Officers obtained warrants for Layton’s arrest. Layton was later taken into custody for harassment on August 29th, 2024.
Bryan Murray punches dashboard multiple times & grabs girlfriend during altercation
27-year-old Bryan Daniel Murray had a domestic altercation with Rachel Mick, his girlfriend, in their blue Chevy Malibu on Dover Road in the early hours of August 24th. Responding officers observed Mick wearing a black tank top and jeans shorts, crying and bleeding from her hand. Officers then noticed Murray kneeling with his hands on the back of his head. After noticing this, the police approached Murray and placed him in handcuffs because he was 6’5” and 200 pounds, and their backup was about 15 minutes away.
Then, officers spoke with Mick, who stated that while driving down the road, Murray had become enraged and started punching the dashboard. She said she was in fear and pulled the car over to the shoulder lane, where she tried getting out and calling 911. However, when she did this, Murray grabbed her phone. Mick stated that despite this, she was still able to retrieve her phone and alert the authorities. She explained that when she tried to exit the vehicle, Murray grabbed her right arm, leaving a fresh bruise with clear fingerprints outlined and a laceration on her right middle finger. Murray was taken into custody for domestic assault and interfering with a 911 call.
Soldier Quenton Brooks chokes wife & throws her on ground during altercation
23-year-old Soldier Quenton Jamal Brooks had a domestic altercation with his wife, Christy Sims, at their Burch Road apartment on the afternoon of August 21st. Sims told responding officers that she and Brooks started arguing over her phone when she arrived home. She said Brooks took her phone from her hands and put it in his pockets. Sims stated Brooks then grabbed her and threw her on the ground and couch. She stated Brooks also strangled her when she tried leaving. Sims explained that she had trouble breathing but maintained consciousness. The police observed a cut on her upper lip, redness around her neck, and left eye. When officers spoke with Brooks, he told them that he and Sims had a verbal dispute, during which he pushed her. Brooks was deemed the primary aggressor and was taken into custody for domestic assault.
Nicholas Duvall nearly stumbles into road multiple times near Taco Bell after drinking
29-year-old Nicholas Shawn Duvall was walking on the sidewalk and almost fell into the roadway multiple times near Taco Bell on North Riverside Drive on August 24th. Officers observed this and approached Duvall, during which they noticed he reeked of alcohol and could not maintain his balance. Duvall told the police that he had just left a local bar where he had two drinks. Then, Duvall was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
Shawn Mitchell steals $2,800 worth of RC Cars from R&C Hobby Shop
42-year-old Shawn Michael Mitchell did not pay for $2,800 worth of RC Cars, parts, and accessories from the R&C Hobby Shop on West Rossview Road late June 8th. The store owner, Christinia Schramm, told officers that Billy Wimberly and Mitchell entered her store on April 27th. Due to their extensive 5-year work relationship with the business, she agreed to give them $2,800 in store credit with a contract stating that the full amount would be paid in a three-week span. Schramm further explained that Mitchell purchased $1,133 worth of items and Wimberly bought $1,700 worth of RC Cars, parts, and accessories. She added that she tried contacting Mitchell and Wimberly via texts, calls, and even personal visits to collect payments, but could not find them. Schramm said that she had been “ghosted” by them and that she observed the RC cars that they bought on Facebook Marketplace for sale. A warrant was issued for his arrest that day. Mitchell was later taken into custody for theft on August 26th.
Jonathan Price drunkenly wanders around McGregor Park after drinking at Electric Cowboy
49-year-old Jonathan David Price, a Montgomery Transportation employee, was wandering around McGregor Park around 3 a.m. on August 25th. Patrolling officers noticed this and approached Price. During their interaction, officers found he had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. Then, Price admitted to being at the troubled Electric Cowboy about an hour earlier, where he had a few beers. When prompted, Price consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Price was deemed a danger to himself and was taken into custody for public intoxication.
David Salley found vomiting on ground outside AJ’s Bar
48-year-old David Wayne Salley had an incident at AJ’s Bar on August 24th. When officers arrived, Salley was in the back of a Nissan, and they were informed that a concerned citizen had put him there. Salley was observed vomiting onto the ground outside of the driver-side rear passenger door. Officers noted Salley reeked of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication. After being uncooperative with the police’s directions to exit the vehicle and give them his name, they deemed Salley a danger to himself. They removed Salley from the Nissan and placed him in custody for public intoxication.
Miguel Valdez jailed after walking around MAPCO intoxicated
29-year-old Miguel Antonio Valdez showed signs of impairment at the Tiny Town Mapco on August 23rd. Officers received a call regarding a mental patient, later identified as Valdez, at the gas station. When officers arrived, they noticed Valdez was visibly intoxicated. Valdez was taken into custody for public intoxication.
DUI: Austen Mohon backs into AC unit after drinking at Revel House Pub
18-year-old Austen Jace Mohon backed into an AC unit with his white Chevrolet Tahoe while leaving the Revel House Pub on August 22nd. Officers noticed this and conducted a traffic stop, during which they observed Mohon reeked of alcohol and showing signs of impairment. During their interaction, Mohon swayed while trying to stand still. Then, he consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, Mohon agreed to provide a blood sample. Mohon was then taken into custody for underage alcohol consumption and driving under the influence.
Desmond Martin booked after allegedly assaulting tow truck driver for towing his car
27-year-old Desmond Lamar Martin, while out on bond, had an altercation with a Minor 2 Major Towing employee, Christopher Latrell, at his Tradewinds Terrace residence on August 8th. On August 12th, Latrell filed a report stating that he arrived at Martin’s house to tow a car. He stated he was partially hooked up to the vehicle when Martin approached him. Martin became irate and started yelling before knocking Latrell’s phone out of his hand, causing injury to his right hand. A warrant was issued for Martin’s arrest that day. Martin was later taken into custody for assault on August 21st.
DUI: Soldier Kolby Wimberley drives against traffic on I-24, says GPS took him the wrong way
33-year-old Soldier Kolby Duane Wimberley was driving on the wrong side of the road down I-24 near Exit 4 on August 17th. Officers received multiple calls regarding Wimberley going eastbound in the westbound lane. When police arrived, they observed Wimberley in a Dodge truck traveling the wrong way. After noticing this, officers initiated their emergency equipment, and Wimberley corrected his travel direction before exiting the vehicle. They asked Wimberley if he knew why they had stopped him, to which he stated that his GPS took him the wrong way but was unsure why. Wimberley later added that he had been to a local brewery, where he had a few drinks. Then, Wimberley consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, he agreed to provide a blood sample. Wimberley was transported to Tennova for a blood draw and was taken into custody for driving under the influence on August 18th.
Dwight Eversole grabs investigator by the nuts on Rotary Park walking trail
59-year-old Dwight Allen Eversole inappropriately touched a law enforcement investigator, Dustin Evans, at a Rotary Park walking trail on August 16th. Investigator Evans stated that he was walking along the trail when a white male wearing blue jeans and a tan shirt with cut-off sleeves, later identified as Eversole, was walking in front of him. According to Evans, Eversole had walked behind a tree. As Evans approached, Eversole came around the tree while rubbing his groin area. Then, Evans stated that Eversole approached him and grabbed his groin area. After this, Evans presented his law enforcement badge and detained Eversole for the incident. Eversole was taken into custody for sexual battery.
DUI: Tyler Farrow speeds down Madison Street at 63 mph in his Ford F-150
30-year-old Tyler Jordan Farrow was speeding in his Ford F-150 on Madison Street late August 12th. Patrolling officers observed Farrow going 63 mph in a 35 mph zone and conducted a traffic stop. As officers spoke with Farrow, they noticed he showed signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol. When prompted, Farrow consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. After being informed of implied consent, Farrow refused to provide a chemical sample. In response, the police obtained a warrant for Farrow’s blood sample and transported him to the Sango ER, where he still declined to give them the sample. Officers later discovered that Farrow had a prior DUI conviction and a suspended license as of October 19th, 2022, for failing to pay fines. Farrow was taken into custody for tampering with evidence, speeding, driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended license on August 13th.
Sarah Sadler forces her way into Kirkwood High School during altercation with teacher
35-year-old Sarah Jane Sadler had an incident with a teacher, Stacy Fitting, at Kirkwood High School in the early hours of July 16th. Fitting told responding officers that she had been assaulted by a parent, later identified as Sadler. Fitting believed Sadler to be the parent of a student at the school to take senior pictures. Fitting further explained that she noticed Sadler and their child attempting to enter the front office door. However, it was locked, so Fitting opened it and spoke with Sadler, who appeared agitated. Fitting asked Sadler how she could help. Sadler explained that she and her child needed to enter the building and were already late. Fitting told Sadler they could not enter through the front office door and closed it. After this, Fitting re-opened the door to ask for their names, which was when Sadler pushed through the doorway and entered the office. Fitting went into detail, stating that she told Sadler and her child that they could not go further into the building from there and would have to leave. Then, Fitting walked to the front door to escort them out. As Fitting did this, she said Sadler shoulder-checked her on the way out, causing her to drop all her belongings. Deputies reviewed footage of the occurrence, which corroborated Fitting’s statements. After this, officers identified Sadler as the person in question, and Fitting later verified Sadler’s identity. Then, a warrant was issued for Sadler’s arrest. Sadler was taken into custody for burglary on August 12th.
De Homer Thompson steals woman’s $460 Smith & Wesson handgun
38-year-old De Homer Thompson stole from Alissa Newby while staying at her Old Russellville Pike apartment on January 1st, 2023. On February 14th, 2023, Newby filed a police report stating that Thompson was staying with her. She further explained that after she told Thompson he needed to leave, he gathered his belongings and left. Then, Newby said she discovered her Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 Handgun, estimated $460 in value, was missing once he was gone. She added that Thompson was the only one in the residence who had known where she kept her gun. A warrant was then issued for Thompson’s arrest that day. Thompson was later taken into custody for theft on August 12th, 2024.
DUI: Heather Hendrickson shows officers bag of multiple pills, claims they’re prescribed
33-year-old Heather Marie Hendrickson was pulled over for a minor traffic violation near 931 Café on August 13th. When officers approached her vehicle, they noticed a strong alcoholic odor emitting from it. They asked Hendrickson if she had anything to drink, to which she responded, saying she had not but admitted to taking her prescription pills earlier. Then, she showed the police a small bag with three different pills in it that she claimed to have taken. However, she could not show them proof of her prescription. Then, Hendrickson consented to sobriety tests and performed poorly. Hendrickson was taken into custody for possession of pills without prescription and driving under the influence.
Allena Waltman drives home after being pulled over for speeding, says she “did not evade arrest”
29-year-old Allena Raeclare Waltman was speeding in her silver SUV near Needmore Road and Beckett Drive on August 11th. Officers observed Waltman going 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. Officers then conducted a traffic stop, and Waltman pulled into the nearby parking lot. However, when the police pulled in behind her, she drove away from the scene. After this, officers checked with NCIC and discovered that Waltman resided nearby. When they followed up at the provided address, they spoke with Waltman. She stated that she started to panic and did not want to pull over. Waltman added that she “did not evade arrest” and “just left to go home.” Waltman was then taken into custody for evading arrest and speeding.
Eric Fernandez jailed after causing multi-vehicle collision while drag racing his Camaro
23-year-old Eric Eduardo Fernandez was involved in a multi-vehicle collision near Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road on the afternoon of August 10th. Responding officers gathered a statement from Fernandez while he was getting checked out in the back of the ambulance. During the questioning, a medic asked the police if Fernandez had been racing. Fernandez stated he was, adding that the race started from the Purple Heart Parkway and Jordan Road intersection and ended at the Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road intersection. Fernandez said he was in lane 2 trying to out-speed a Honda in lane 1, which was going much faster than him. Then, Fernandez explained that a white pickup truck began to brake at the Purple Heart Parkway and Evans Road intersection. He stated this was when he rear-ended the truck because he could not slow down in time, causing it to spin. The police spoke with another involved driver, who stated that Fernandez drove his red Camaro into his tan Buick SUV before hitting the pickup truck. Officers discovered that the tire markings show Fernandez started braking 679 feet before crashing. Fernandez informed the police that he had been going 70 mph. The collision caused a neck injury to the driver of the tan Buick SUV and whiplash to the driver of the white pickup truck. Fernandez was taken into custody for drag racing and failing to exercise due care.
