Liandra Reeves performs fraudulent refund on Shark Mop for $54.82 at Walmart

55-year-old Liandra Monique Reeves stole from the Walmart on Madison Street on March 10th. Reeves entered the store, grabbed a Shark Mop, brought it to the customer service desk, and performed a fraudulent refund. Reeves was given a gift card worth $54.82 and left the location without rendering payment for merchandise. A warrant was issued for her arrest on March 18th. On March 24th, Reeves was taken into custody for theft.

Jaclyn Wolski hits child repeatedly, leaves him on street after altercation

36-year-old Jaclyn Amber Wolski, an employee at Freedom Plasma, had a domestic incident with her 15-year-old son, D.W., near the intersection of Melbourne Drive and Larkspur Drive around 4:01 a.m. on March 24th. Upon arrival, detectives spoke with DW, who stated his mother was driving when she woke him up, demanding directions on the GPS from his phone. He added that Wolski was very intoxicated. When DW asked her why she needed directions, she became irate. Wolski then parked on the sidewalk, exited the car, and opened the passenger’s side door. Wolski proceeded to slap DW, knocking off his glasses and headphones. After this, he said she poured a bottle of water on him, jumped on him, and started striking him repeatedly. DW told officers he tried to shove Wolski off but was unsuccessful. DW stated after he hit her once in self-defense, she got in the car and drove away, leaving him on the scene. Other units tried to reach Wolski at her Donna Drive residence, but she refused to speak with them. Wolski told officers, “Nothing happened tonight,” and that she had been home all night. DW pointed out the bottle she poured on him and an earring she lost during the incident to officers. Wolski was taken into custody for domestic assault.

DUI: Gregory Gafney crashes Jeep on Fort Campbell Boulevard after running red light

34-year-old Gregory Monkale Gafney failed to brake and caused a collision at the stoplight near Fort Campbell Boulevard and Purple Heart Parkway in the early hours of March 24th. Before the crash, officers observed him swerving over the right travel lane and the fog line as he approached the red light. They approached his silver Jeep and noticed he showed multiple signs of inebriation and reeked of alcohol. Upon request, he consented to sobriety tests, performed poorly, and then agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent. Gafney was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Christopher Vermillion strangles wife on patio, tells her he “could throw her off if he wanted to.”

37-year-old Christopher Bryant Vermillion had a domestic altercation with his wife, Teresa Lawrenczk, at their East Knollwood Circle apartment in the early hours of March 24th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Lawrenczk, who advised them that she and Vermillion had an ongoing dispute. Then, she alleged that during their argument on the back patio, Vermillion put his hands around her throat, squeezed, and told her that he “could throw her off if he wanted to.” When officers spoke with him, Vermillion denied the claims but confirmed they had consistently argued throughout the day. Vermillion was taken into custody for domestic aggravated assault.

Dajour Wreh caught with handgun,14 grams of marijuana after driving on suspended license

27-year-old Dajour Marrec Wreh was taken into custody for unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, schedule VI drug violations, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony on March 24th.  At 11:45 p.m. on March 23rd, officers conducted a traffic stop on a gray Ford Explorer on Providence Boulevard. Officers observed the registered owner, Wreh, had a suspended license for failing to maintain proof of financial responsibility in December 2022. When officers approached the Explorer, they noticed Wreh reeked of marijuana, giving them probable cause to search the SUV. During the search, officers located a little over a half ounce of marijuana, 14.175 grams, a digital scale, an empty box of baggies, corner bags, US currency, and a Taurus handgun. Wreh’s money was seized in accordance with the Tennessee Drug Control Act. Wreh was detained and taken into custody on March 24th.

DUI: Deon Mister found passed out drunk in his car at Top Dogg Liquors

28-year-old Deon Christopher Mister, an LG employee, was found passed out in the driver’s seat of his car with the engine running at Top Dogg Liquors on Wilma Rudolph late March 23rd. Officers observed this and approached the car, noticing Mister showed signs of impairment. Once Mister exited the vehicle, reeking of alcohol, officers deemed him unable to operate the vehicle. During a subsequent search, officers found a firearm and two small bottles of Jack Daniel’s Whiskey in his pockets. Then, officers discovered Mister had a prior DUI conviction in December 2023.  Mister agreed to provide a breath sample, resulting in 0.156 BAC%. Mister was taken into custody for an open container violation, driving under the influence, and possession of a weapon while under the influence on March 24th.

David Romero attempts to assault mother during argument, tells police he began “Losing it”

25-year-old David Allan Romero had a domestic altercation with his mom, Norma Morales, at their Cambridge Square apartment on Memorial Drive late March 23rd. When officers arrived, they spoke with Morales, who stated she had a verbal dispute with Romero over their dog. She said during the argument, he started yelling profanities while advancing toward her, placing her in fear, so she grabbed a chair to defend herself. She said she then gave him space, left the living room, went to the bedroom, and told her daughter to call the police.  When officers spoke with Romero, he corroborated her statements, adding that he began “losing it” and does not remember what he yelled at her before she picked up the chair. Romero was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Tiana Petitt slaps boyfriend for talking to other women

22-year-old Tiana Latrice Petitt, a Southeast Eye Specialist employee, had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Jordon Lofton, at her E Johnson Circle apartments in the early hours of March 22nd. Petitt spoke with officers when they arrived, telling them she had gone through Lofton’s phone and discovered he was talking to other women. She stated she slapped him while he was asleep to wake him up, which sparked an argument, where she grabbed his PlayStation 5, and they struggled over it, causing it to fall on the floor and break. Petitt was taken into custody for domestic assault.

Katie Hawks swings her cane in the air and urinates in front of officers

32-year-old Katie Lauren Hawks caused a disturbance at the McDonald’s on Madison Street in the early hours of March 21st. Officers were on a previous call regarding Hawks being trespassed from the business across the street when they observed her swinging her cane around in the air and throwing her belongings in the parking lot.

Officers noticed Hawks urinating in front of them as she walked away. She was given multiple chances to act accordingly before they tried to detain her, during which she became resistive, refusing to put her hands behind her back. Hawks was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Mekos Simpson holds handgun during argument with mother about his boyfriend

40-year-old Mekos Tyrell Simpson had a domestic altercation with his mother, Wilma Simpson, at her Robin Drive residence in the early hours of January 12th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Wilma, who stated she and Mekos argued over his boyfriend damaging her new table. During this argument, Wilma said she had seen Mekos with a handgun by his side as he was getting aggressive with her. Wilma added that he did not threaten her with it, but she was fearful that he might use it to defend his boyfriend. Wilma said that afterward, she dialed 911, and Mekos fled to his Nashville residence. Simpson was taken into custody for aggravated domestic assault on March 21st.

Eric Taylor steals $200 while working at Outback Steakhouse

25-year-old Eric Rasean Taylor, an employee at Outback Steakhouse, had taken $200 from his job on March 5th. When officers arrived, they spoke with Maria Rodriguez, the on-duty manager, who advised that Taylor stole money from the lockbox in the manager’s office. Rodriguez also provided security camera footage of the incident. She stated that the office is in a portion of the building that is off-limits to employees and that he did not have a reason for entering. Rodriguez added that this is outside the scope of his duties and is not normal behavior for their staff. Rodriguez said that when she confronted Taylor about it, he returned a $50 bill and left in possession of $150 from the business. Taylor was taken into custody for burglary on March 21st.

DUI: Maria Rodriguez-Serrano drinks bottle of Bacardi before driving on Highway 79

35-year-old Maria Del Carmen Rodriguez-Serrano drove her van on Highway 79 with the passenger side taillight out late March 20th. Officers observed this, conducted a traffic stop, and approached Rodriguez-Serrano. Rodriguez-Serano told officers she was unaware of her light being out. During this interaction, officers noticed she reeked of marijuana as smoke rolled down her car window, so they asked her to exit her car and performed a probable cause search. Officers then located a rolled joint in the driver’s door pocket and an empty bottle of Bacardi behind the driver’s seat. Rodriguez-Serano took sobriety tests and performed poorly. Then, she admitted to finishing the bottle of Bacardi before coming to a stop. Rodriguez-Serrano agreed to provide a blood sample after being informed of implied consent and then was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

DUI: Matthew Langford hits multiple cars at Rural King after taking fentanyl

43-year-old Matthew Dwayne Langford struck two cars near Rural King on Fort Campbell and Dover Road in the afternoon of March 20th. When officers arrived, they located Langford unconscious at the wheel about 400 feet away from the crash. Langford was administered Narcan twice and then was transported to Tennova Medical Center to be cleared. A search through NCIC revealed he had a revoked driver’s license due to a prior DUI from December 20th, 2019. When officers searched his vehicle, they found a white, powdery substance, which tested positive for fentanyl. Langford was taken into custody for driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, simple possession, and failure to exercise due care.

Dashane Murray punches cousin in face during argument at Culver’s

20-year-old Dashane Romario Murray had a domestic incident with his cousin, Anthony Jones, at Culver’s on Hampton Place on March 3rd. When the officers arrived, they spoke with Jones, who advised that Murray arrived while he was working. Murray asked Jones to talk outside about Shanyia Morris, Murray’s roommate. During this, an argument ensued, and when it escalated, Jones put his arm out to put distance between them. Murray then punched Jones in the face, causing him to bite his tongue. Murray left before the officers arrived. Morris witnessed the incident and told detectives that Jones pushed away from Murray, and then they fought, adding that she tried but was unable to break it up. Murray was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 4th.

Janelle Green found in middle of roadway drunkenly waving down cars

33-year-old Janelle Cheriffe Green had her car parked with its hazard lights on in the middle roadway on High Street and Crossland Avenue in the early hours of March 2nd. When officers arrived, Green was walking in the street, waving down cars that passed by. Officers approached Green and noticed she reeked of alcohol. Green admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and then informed officers that she had nowhere to go. Officers deemed her a danger to herself and placed her in custody for public intoxication.

APSU Track-and-Field Athlete Jade-Ann Smith and friend assault woman at Castle Heights

19-year-old Jade-Ann Anastasia Smith, an APSU Track-and-Field athlete, was taken into custody for assault on March 1st. Smith and her friend Celeania Rollerson were involved in the assault of Ke’Shia Taylor at Austin Peay State University’s Castle Heights dorm on February 29th. Taylor was leaving her boyfriend’s room when Smith and Rollerson attacked her. Taylor’s injuries consisted of a cut on her right ankle and soreness on her right shoulder and forehead. Taylor’s friend and witness of the situation, Eniyah Wilson, stated that she saw both Smith and Rollerson kicking and punching Taylor. Smith and Rollerson were taken into custody and charged with assault.

Marquis Stowe hits girlfriend in face during January dispute

26-year-old Marquis Jabbar Joel Stowe, an employee for Clarksville Professional Gutters, had a domestic incident with his ex-girlfriend, Chelsey Cotten, at a North Meadow Drive residence on January 17th. In the early hours of March 1st, officers responded to a call regarding vandalism at the Barry Drive townhouses. When they arrived to investigate a separate incident, Cotten advised them that Stowe had struck her in the face on January 17th and provided them with pictures of the injuries she sustained and conversations with him discussing the attack. They questioned Stowe, who stated that the assault never occurred. Stowe was taken into custody for domestic assault on March 1st.

DUI: Jason White tells officers “Ain’t nobody going to stick me with no needle”

46-year-old Jason Lee White failed to yield to a patrol car’s right of way on Somerset Road in the early hours of February 11th. Then, after completing his turn, he entered the furthest lane. Officers observed this, so they conducted a traffic stop. They noticed a strong odor of alcohol as they approached the driver’s side and asked him to exit the vehicle to take sobriety tests. White consented and performed poorly. While White was being transported to Tennova, he repeatedly expressed that he would not consent to a blood draw with or without a warrant, telling them, “Ain’t nobody going to stick me with no needle.” White was taken into custody for tampering with evidence, failure to yield, improper turn, and driving under the influence.

Kayla Turner severely neglects 5-year-old and newborn baby

28-year-old Kayla Janae Cartell Turner was taken into custody for three counts of child abuse/neglect. In the early hours of February 11th, a concerned citizen alerted the authorities, informing them that an unsupervised infant was walking in the middle of the parking lot at Ramblewood Apartments. Detectives arrived and observed the infant was barefoot and covered in dirt with a soiled diaper. After speaking with several residents, they located the mother, Turner, in her unit and noticed a heap of clothing in the living room, hindering any sight of the floor. There was also rotten food on the floor and counters, which were both covered in mold. Then, officers located a 5-year-old child and a newborn, who was face down on the bed with a diaper so soiled that it had lost its color. As they investigated further, they found trash piled up inside the children’s bedroom and realized no food. Turner told them that she had last changed their diapers around 7 p.m. on February 10th, six hours before officers showed up, and then explained that she only gets one diaper size for her 5-year-old, 1-year-old, and newborn to share, insisting that they wore the same size. She also admitted to drinking before she went to bed on the day prior. Turner was detained, and then detectives notified DCS.

John Dowlen breaks girlfriend’s car window during argument

25-year-old John Andretrius Dowlen had a domestic incident with his ex-girlfriend, Zikia Henderson, at her Ringgold Court Apartment on February 11th. Officers were dispatched to Dowlen’s Sampson Street residence and were advised that he and Henderson argued in her car. Dowlen exited the vehicle to de-escalate the situation, but she followed him. Then, he tried to reenter the vehicle, but she locked the doors, so he started hitting the window, trying to get her to unlock it. After he hit the passenger’s side window three times, it broke. Dowlen was taken into custody for vandalism.
