DUI: Eric Merriweather caught driving on license revoked in 1991

63-year-old Eric Merriweather was pulled over on May 5th for a broken taillight. When officers checked Merriweather’s license, they found that it had been revoked on July 1st, 1991. Merriweather also could not provide officers with insurance. While speaking with Merriweather, officers observed an open Bud Light beer can near the passenger seat. Officers also observed that Merriweather was demonstrating signs of intoxication. Merriweather was then asked to execute field sobriety tests. Merriweather consented to the sobriety tests but performed poorly. After being informed about implied consent, Merriweather refused to provide law enforcement with a blood sample. Eric Merriweather was then taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, open container, driving with no proof of insurance, and implied consent violation.

Eric Lynn Merriweather of Daniel Street in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on May 5th, charged with driving under the influence, suspended license, no license, and implied consent violation. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
