DUI: Soldier Jared Craig charged for speeding on his birthday

24-year-old Fort Campbell Soldier Jared Craig was jailed on his birthday, November 1st, after police observed him speeding down Rossview Road. Jared was going 47 mph in a 30 mph zone. He then began swerving and was pulled over. He was visibly intoxicated and slurred his speech as he told officers that he was coming from Nashville, where he had two drinks. He performed poorly on sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Mr. Craig blew a .139% BAC on a breathalyzer. This was his first DUI.

Jared William Craig of Northridge Dr in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on November 1st, charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, and speeding. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
