21-year-old Alyssa Buchanan was confronted by law enforcement when she and her friend Shawn Ussia drove in an SUV with an illegal tint. When Officers arrived, they smelt a substantial marijuana odor from the car. During a probable search, Officers located loose buds of marijuana in the driver’s seat, which came from a ripped bag in the glove box. When officers searched Ussia’s person, they found two corner bags containing marijuana and over $1,400 in cash. Buchanan was taken into custody and charged with unlawful drug paraphernalia and being the manufacturer, deliverer, or seller of a controlled substance.
Alyssa Somone Buchanan of Kestrel Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on October 25th, charged with drugs. She is free on a $2,000 bond.
