26-year-old Stephon Newby was jailed on February 3rd after hiding from officers inside the Kroger on Madison Street. Officers could smell alcohol coming from his breath as he told them that someone was trying to kill him. While officers talked to Newby, he would repeatedly state that customers walking by were trying to kill him. Officers determined Newby was a danger to himself and placed him in custody for public intoxication.
Stephon Rashaad Newby of Cedar Street in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on February 3rd, charged with public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $439.
