Derek Teague buys PlayStation 5 with fake money, immediately sells it to GameStop

34-year-old Derek Teague was caught giving counterfeit money for a PlayStation 5 on October 11th. Teague contacted the seller on Facebook Marketplace and arranged a meeting at the apartment complex on Cobalt Drive. Teague gave her counterfeit money in exchange for the PlayStation 5. Law enforcement received information that Teague sold the victim’s PlayStation at a local GameStop an hour after their transaction. Teague was seen with another person on surveillance cameras selling the gaming console. Derek Teague was taken into custody and charged with theft of property.

Derek Lamonte Teague of Lindsey Drive in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on March 6th, charged with theft of property. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $5,000.
