Jonisha Williams charged in death of dog tethered outside with no shelter, food, or water

In late July, Montgomery County Animal Care and Control visited the home of 32-year-old Jonisha Janella Williams to find her dog on an extremely short tether outside without shelter or water. She was issued a citation which she refused to sign. On August 9th, Clarksville Police responded to the home at the request of Animal Care and Control, who was already on the scene after a neighbor called about the dog now appearing to be deceased. After confirming no improvement had been made to the animal’s care, and it was now deceased, Officers took Williams into custody and charged her with aggravated animal cruelty. She immediately posted a $10,000 bond via 2nd Chance Bail Bonding and was released from custody.
