Police say 26-year-old Cooper Chessman wandered into the Minit Mart on Peachers Mill Road just after 6 a.m. on March 28 and appeared dazed and confused. Store employees were afraid he was going to pass out and called 911. Chessman was unable to tell responding officers where he was, how he arrived at the store, or how to get home. He initially denied using any drugs but later stated he didn’t know what he had used. He was taken into custody and charged with public intoxication.
Cooper James Chessman of Hamlet Dr in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on March 28th, charged with two outstanding DUI-related warrants from previous cases and public intoxication. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $3,439.
