20-year-old Maclaine Conley Butts was jailed on August 31st after an officer observed her going 73 mph on 101st and Peachers Mill and initiated a traffic stop. She finally pulled over on 101st and Ringgold Road, and the officer could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle as soon as she rolled her window down and asked how many drinks she had that night. Butts stated she had a Mad Dog beer hours before. The officer observed Butts to have glossy eyes and asked her to consent to field sobriety tests. She performed poorly, was taken into custody, and transported to booking.
Maclaine Conley Butts of Dotsonville Road in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on August 31st, charged with speeding and underage driving while impaired. She is free on a $2,500 bond.
