36-year-old Jeremy Rugante was involved in an altercation with his childhood friend at Paradise Hill Road on February 24. When the victim opened the door, he saw Rugante, his childhood friend, so he let him inside. He noticed that Rugante seemed to be under the influence of drugs and was getting loud, so he told him that he needed to leave. This made Rugante upset, so he pushed him to the ground and started punching and kicking him until he lost consciousness. There were witnesses to the assault who stated that they heard a commotion in the living room and saw Rugante punching and kicking the victim, who seemed unresponsive. Once Rugante saw the witnesses, he left out the front door and did not return. Jeremy Rugante was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.
Jeremy Ralph Rugante of Alabama Avenue in Clarksville, TN, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on February 25th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $2,500.
