Dylan Kolenda charged in assault of neighbor during drunken debacle

Remember 22-year-old Dylan Kolenda, who in December drunkenly broke into his neighbor’s home, believing it was his own? He was charged with public intoxication at the time and released from custody. The homeowner, Gregory Brooks, then sought out an additional warrant for assault, which Kokend was booked on this week. Brooks says that during the interaction, Kolenda was hitting his TDOC-issued government vehicle. When confronted, he reportedly assaulted Brooks, who is a 240-pound security professional, leaving scratches on his face and an injury to his left leg. Brooks signed an affidavit, and a magistrate issued the private-prosecution warrant.

Dylan Kolenda invades neighbor’s home in drunken stupor

Police say 22-year-old Dylan Trevor Kolenda invaded a random house on Timberdale Drive at 4:19 a.m. Sunday. Officers responded to the home invasion 911 call and detained Kolenda, who had been in a minor scuffle with the homeowner. Kolenda was extremely intoxicated and believed this was his home, but was unable to remember his address, which turned out to be next door. He was transported to booking and charged with public intoxication.
