Jason Bentley charged with DUI on his birthday in Clarksville

THP Trooper David Dacosta says 47-year-old Jason Lee Bentley was traveling at 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Wilma Rudolph Blvd Friday night when he also changed lanes while speeding without using a signal. During a subsequent traffic stop, Bentley admitted to drinking two alcoholic beverages shortly before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Bently was transported to Tennova Sango ER for a blood draw and charged with DUI. He had a prior DUI conviction in 1999.

Window tint traffic stop finds Nathaniel Crespo with 14 zips of marijuana — $25K bond

Clarksville police pulled over 32-year-old Nathaniel ‘Nate’ Crespo for a window tint violation on the Jaguar he was driving on May 11th. During the court of the traffic stop, officers claimed to smell marijuana, and Crespose stated his brother had recently smoked in the car. Officer searched the vehicle and located two bags, one orange, and the other black. Inside the orange bag was a vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana. Two mason jars of marijuana, along with baggies and a scale, were found in the black bag. The total weight was just under one pound, coming in at 410 grams, or just over 14 zips.
