THP Trooper David Dacosta says 47-year-old Jason Lee Bentley was traveling at 60 mph in a 45 mph zone on Wilma Rudolph Blvd Friday night when he also changed lanes while speeding without using a signal. During a subsequent traffic stop, Bentley admitted to drinking two alcoholic beverages shortly before driving. After performing poorly on field sobriety tests, Bently was transported to Tennova Sango ER for a blood draw and charged with DUI. He had a prior DUI conviction in 1999.

Benjamin Kleinfelt charged after tossing cup into ex-wife’s wall during an argument
35-year-old Benjamin Kleinfelt is charged with vandalism after he reportedly picked up a cup and threw it into a wall at his ex-wife’s home while he was dropping off their children. The victim says he demanded to speak with her after dropping off the children and began to antagonize her and get in her personal space. As she backed away from him, she says he threw a cup into a wall, creating a hole in the drywall, which was estimated at $100 to repair.
Steven Tran charged with assault of wife in their kitchen
46-year-old Steven Tran is charged with the domestic assault of his wife, Ngoc Pham, who told police the couple had an argument that became physical when he held her against their refrigerator by her throat. She says he repeatedly assaulted her until she fell to the floor.
