38-year-old Michele Harris argued with her girlfriend, whom she slapped despite their boyfriend stepping between them to break it up. Police spoke to the girlfriend, Stephani Douthit, who told them the scenario and stated they were arguing before Michele slapped her. After she was slapped she said that she pushed Michele and their boyfriend, Nicholas Smith, away from her and went outside to their porch. At that time, Michele stepped in front of her, stretched her arms out to block the doorway, preventing Stephani from exiting. Michele admitted to slapping Stefani but denied blocking the exit. She was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

Aalure Cooke drags wife by her hair during argument
25-year-old Aalure Cooke was booked on September 8th after an argument with her wife turned violent on Kelly Lane. Dyarah McNeil told police that she and her wife argued about custody issues when she became upset and grabbed her by her shirt, tearing it in the process. Cooke then dragged McNeil into the living room by her hair. Cooke was placed into custody and transported to Montgomery County jail.
Curtis Patel assaults ‘roommate’ during attempt to take back ring
27-year-old Curtis Patel was booked on August 26th after police responded to Oakmont Drive in response to a domestic assault. Patel told police that he and his roommate, Misty Johnson, had gotten into an argument that resulted in Ms. Johnson pushing him out of the house. Ms. Johnson stated that Patel got upset and started yelling in her face, then grabbed her wrist to try and pull off a ring he had given her. Ms. Johnson said she was afraid Patel would hurt her, so she pushed him away from her and out the door. Patel was taken into custody and transported to booking.
Bethany Valentin slaps ex-husband during argument at Regency Square Apartments
31-year-old Bethany Valentin was jailed on July 28th for slapping her ex-husband in the face after a heated argument at the Regency Square Apartments on Ashland City Road. Josue Valentin and the witness both stated that Ms. Valentin Slapped him in the face, which she admitted to making physical contact but stated it was a push, not a slap.
Daniel Model charged in assault of girlfriend after she’s texting other guys
19-year-old Daniel Model was booked last week for assaulting his girlfriend after he found out she was allegedly cheating on him. Hannah Cunningham stated that Model pushed her into a door and locked her out of his apartment on August 25th after seeing on her phone that she had been talking to other guys.
Makhere Benson assaults girlfriend while eating at Old Chicago in Clarksville
24-year-old Makhere Benson was jailed on August 20th when police responded to Wilma Rudolph Boulevard after speaking with Alexie Brodie, who said while out eating dinner, they got into an argument. Ms. Brodie asked him to leave the restaurant, but Benson refused to leave. Christopher Poitevint, the manager of Old Chicago, stated that he observed Mr. Benson grab Ms. Brodie by her neck. When officers arrived on the scene, both parties were outside of the restaurant arguing. Officers observed Ms. Brodie yell “stop” toward Mr. Benson and witnessed him push and hit her.
Earl Lowery charged in assault of girlfriend at Days Inn hotel room
37-year-old Earl Lowery was jailed on August 6th after an argument with his girlfriend. Lisa Smith told police that her boyfriend thought she was cheating on him, and they got into an argument in their room at the Days Inn by Wyndham while he was lying down on the bed; she took both of their car keys and tried to leave. Lowery saw Ms. Smith trying to leave and got up to try to grab the car keys. He wrapped his arms around Ms. Smith, and it scared her because of the prior abuse she’s endured from him. They left the room and went down the stairs, where they continued to argue. Ms . Smith began moving her belongings from one car to another when Lowery threw a lotion bottle at her chest. When police questioned him about the incident, he denied anything physical taking place and stated it was only an argument.

44-year-old Nicole Croney was jailed last week after her boyfriend, Dontavious Halfacre, Reported she pulled him by his dreadlocks and smacked him in the face during an argument.
Deangelo Palmer strangles wife with belt while swinging her around room by neck
26-year-old Deangelo Palmer was jailed on July 23rd after brutally assaulting his wife at their home on White Birch Court. Jaquala Hayes told police on July 22nd Palmer became angry, grabbed a belt, looped it through the buckle, and strangled her with it. She described the room getting dark and having difficulty breathing until she was able to get her hands in between the belt and her neck to create room. Once her hands were between the belt, he swung her around the living room, then took the belt from around her neck and started whipping her with it. Police observed a bruise on her left arm that was visible from the day prior.
Ryan Dewerff throws flamingo flower pot at wife while driving down the road
41-year-old Ryan Dewerff was jailed on July 21st after allegedly attempting to assault his wife with a flamingo flowerpot during an argument that started on Crossland Avenue. The argument started when Ryan went to an address on Elder Street to pick up the truck that he needed for work. His wife, Jessica Dewerff had been using the truck and was upset that he was taking it, so they got into an argument. She hopped in the back seat of the truck and refused to exit when her husband asked her to, so he began to drive to their house in Ashland City.
According to Jessica, she told her husband not to take the truck, but he got in the driver’s seat anyway, so she got in the back seat. She asked him to turn around and take her back to the house she was staying at. He circled the block, pulled up to that house, and acted as if he were going to let her out but drove off again before she had the chance. They argued while Ryan drove down the road, and then he threw a flower pot toward Jessica; she was sitting behind him so she wasn’t hit with it, but she believed he meant to harm her, so she called 911 while in the backseat to report it. During the call, she was heard asking Ryan to stop the truck several times. Police made the traffic stop near Meadowhill Lane and observed dirt on Jessica’s face and neck from the flower pot.
Fort Campell soldier Taja Murry punches husband in face over text messages
24-year-old Fort Campbell soldier Taja Murry was booked last week for assaulting her husband after she saw text messages to other women on his laptop. She took the laptop and went to her apartment on Tiny Town Road, where he arrived asking for his laptop back. Murry invites her husband in multiple times, and when he finally agrees to enter, she punches him in the face twice. This attack was caught on Murry’s Ring doorbell. The two tussles and make their way to the back o the living room, where the camera no longer captures them. Her husband, Justin Malcolm, makes his way upstairs and finally gets his laptop back. They make their way outside, where they are seen on camera fighting each other with closed fists.
Joseph Weston charged in assault of girlfriend, Selena Loubardo
22-year-old Joseph Weston was jailed on June 10th after his girlfriend Selena Loubardo called the police, reporting that Weston had pushed her onto the bed and grabbed her around her body with his arms. He then dragged her out of the bedroom by her waist. Police saw marks on her neck near her shoulder. Weston had a prior charge of domestic abuse that has been expunged, according to police.
William Barton charged in assault of girlfriend, Mariah Rittenberry
18-year-old William Barton was jailed on June 11th after calling 911 on himself and stating that he assaulted his girlfriend and would kill her if officers didn’t arrive soon. He told police he and his girlfriend, Mariah Rittenberry, got into an argument, and he punched holes in the wall because he was angry but didn’t touch her.
Mariah told police that Barton got angry, threw her on the bed, and pinned her down because she wouldn’t give him her car keys. She told him several times to get off of her, and when he did, he started punching holes in the wall to avoid hitting her. She stated she was terrified. At this point, Barton called 911 on himself and threw her phone inside the drywall, where it was lost. Barton’s sister told police she witnessed her brother throw Mariah on the bed and punch holes in the wall.
Emma Hayes assaults boyfriend with baby bottle, punches him, spills his beer
19-year-old Emma Hayes was jailed on June 8th after assaulting her husband at their home on Stateline Road. Zachary Hayes told police that he was in bed drinking a beer when Emma came into the room and threw a baby bottle at his head. He spilled his beer and tossed it to the floor next to Emma. When Zachary got up to clean up the mess, Emma got in his face and began yelling. According to Zachary, at this point, Emma started to push him and hit him in his face and body until he pushed her off.
Police saw redness on Zachary’s face. Emma admitted throwing the baby bottle at her husband but never intended to hit him. She also said she only pushed Zachary so she could get away from him. Emma admitted to striking her husband in his body but said she never hit him in the face. She told police that after Zachary pushed her, he started yelling in her face and bit her. Police didn’t find any marks or injuries to Emma and noted that she changed her story several times. Due to the inconsistencies, Emma was determined as the primary aggressor.
Brandon Bradford charged in assault of girlfriend, breaks her thumbnail
23-year-old Brandon Bradford was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from January, charging him with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Nathalie Araujo. The victim reports she came home from the gym, and the two had a verbal argument. Brandon then went outside “to speak to a friend” who turned out to be his mother. From outside, he called his girlfriend to demand she comes outside and speaks with his mother. She went outside, where his mother began to curse and push her. Brandon also caused an injury to her thumbnail before picking her up and throwing her down, according to the victim. He fled the residence before police arrived, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Zachary Galbreath charged in assault of girlfriend
22-year-old Zachary Galbreath was jailed this week on an outstanding warrant from January, charging him with the domestic assault of his girlfriend, Jade Bickert. She told police he assaulted her by first throwing a glass at her and then hitting her in the back of the head and face. Officers documented a bloody nose on the victim, and she was treated by EMS. Galbreah fled the scene, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Erik Walker charged in assault of wife during argument over cell phone
Police say 31-year-old Erik Walker was in an argument with his wife, Breanna, on May 29 after he took her cell phone from her and would not return it. Bre was attempting to retrieve her cell phone to call her father to pick her up from the situation when she says Erik pushed her, causing her to fear for her safety. Both parties had been drinking, and she admits to pushing him on the shoulder to get him to release the phone. Officers noted a prior history of domestic disturbance calls for the couple and determined Erik to be the primary aggressor.
Caitlin Cross punches her wife, has fistfight with their roommate who intervened
21-year-old Caitlin Cross was jailed on May 13, charged with the assault of her wife, Shaeline Diaz, and their roommate, Kenzi Lebouef. Cross and her wife had a verbal argument that escalated with Caitlin punching her lover. Kenzi witnessed the altercation and attempted to de-escalate the situation, but Caitlin then got into a fistfight with her. She refused to discuss the situation with officers and was reportedly too drunk to provide a statement. She was deemed to be the primary aggressor and transported to booking.
Sheri Maddox-Slade charged in roommate rumble
41-year-old Sheri Maddox-Slade was jailed on May 7th after following her roommate outside and escalating an argument to assault. Police responded to Bellamy Lane, and Maddox told them that she and her roommate Taylor Smith were in an argument that turned violent when Smith shoved her, pulled her by her hair, and threw gravel in her eyes. Smith told police that Maddox followed her outside while letting her dog out. According to Smith, Maddox pushed her to the ground and started scratching her neck, but she was able to get away once she defended herself. Both women had visible injuries and were both taken into custody due to conflicting allegations.
Iyanna Woods punches her boyfriend and his mom in the face during an argument
20-year-old Iyanna Woods was booked on May 7th after punching her boyfriend in the face in front of his mom at her home on Ladd Drive. Tyre Thomas and Woods live together at his mother’s house. They got into an argument, and Woods punched him in the face leaving him with swelling and a bloodshot eye. Latonya Johns separated her son and Woods, grabbed her grandchildren, and tried to get Woods out of the house. She was holding her grandchildren in her left arm when Woods also punched her on the right side of her face.
