Jailah Burleson embezzles over $4,000 from Dollar General

21-year-old Jailah Ann Burleson, a former Dollar General employee, was caught on video stealing money from Dollar General on Ash Ridge Drive when closing the store on November 25th. The district manager of Dollar General, John Makowski, spoke with officers on December 14th and advised them of the incident. Makowski also provided video footage of the incident to officers. With the safe door open and blocking the camera’s view, Burleson drops the deposit bag on the floor, puts the bag in her shirt sleeve, and then locks the safe door. When Makowski confronted her about the incident, Burleson wrote a statement admitting to taking the deposit, other cash from prior incidents, and food products totaling $4,791.55. Under Miranda, she confirmed writing the statement and being the individual on the footage stealing the deposit bag. She was taken into custody for embezzlement.

Kimberly Ramey jailed after hit-and-run; her daughter turned her in

55-year-old Kimberly Ramey was booked last week on an outstanding warrant from May when she hit and injured another driver on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. The victim Ms. Lisa McMurtry went to the police station and pointed out Brenaia Ramey in a photo lineup. Police contacted Brenaia, who stated she was indeed a passenger at the time of the collision, but her mother, Kimberly, was the driver. It was determined the vehicle left the scene prior to any parties exchanging information or contacting police. It was later discovered through NCIC that Kimberly was driving with a suspended license.

Toni Camia charged with murder of grandchild, says she “took a bath with the baby & fell asleep”

Detectives with the Clarksville Police Department Special Operations Homicide Unit have charged 44-year-old Toni Camia with Aggravated Child Abuse/Neglect/Endangerment of a child less than eight years old and First Degree Murder in perpetration/attempt to perpetrate a crime for the death of 5-month-old Angel Stanford, and she is jailed in lieu of a $300,000 bond.

Toni Camia charged with felony burglary after stealing $42.93 in groceries from Walmart

43-year-old Toni Camia was permanently trespassed from Walmart in 2019, according to police. On April 16th, Walmart Loss Prevention employees from the Fort Campbell Blvd location called police to say she was being detained for taking $42.93 worth of grocery items. Officers arrived, and due to the prior trespass on file, she was charged with felony burglary and transported to booking. She is free on a $5,000 bond.
