24-year-old Austin Pristavec, a Fort Campbell Soldier, was jailed on July 16th after police observed him swerving and operating a cell phone on Fort Campbell Boulevard. When police pulled him over, they smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle, and Austin admitted to drinking earlier that evening. He agreed to sobriety testing and performed poorly. The search of his vehicle yielded a case of Busch Light on the floorboard along with a loaded Smith & Wesson Springfield 9mm. Austin blew a .093% BAC on a breathalyzer. He has no prior DUI history.
